The invention relates to 3-heteroaryl substituted isoxazolines of formula (I), or to their salts that can be used for agricultural purposes. 4-Aryl-1-difluoromethoxyimidazoles of formula (I) are disclosed, where the substituents R and R have the meanings given in the description. Compounds of formula (I) are effective herbicides and can be used for the treatment of undesired plant growth. Furthermore, compounds of formula (I) are suitable for the desiccation and/or defoliation of plants, in particular, of cotton. The invention further relates to herbicidal agents and agents for desiccation and/or defoliation of plants.
