PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for controlling phytopathogenic harmful fungi consisting of pseudo microorganism strain and chemical compound inhibiting growth of Botrytis cinerea and/or Alternaria brassicicola.SOLUTION: There are provided a fungicidal composition comprising 1) a fungicidal strain (I) selected from a) the Bacillus subtilis strain with NRRL Accession No. of B-21661 and b) the Bacillus pumilus strain with NRRL Accession No. B-30087, or a mutant of these strains having all the identifying characteristics of the respective strain, or a metabolite produced by the respective strain that exhibits activity against plant pathogenic fungi, and 2) at least one kind of chemical compound (II) selected from active compounds A) to F): A) an azole-based active compound, B) a strobilurin-based compound, C) a carboxamide-based compound, D) a heterocyclic-based active compound, E) a carbamate-based active compound, and F) other antimicrobial agents in a synergistically effective amount, and seeds containing the composition.

The present invention relates to the combined use of synthetic fungicides and biological control agents for controlling harmful fungi. To be more precise, the invention relates to a method for controlling harmful fungi, which comprises at least two treatment blocks, where in at least one treatment block the plants are treated with at least one synthetic fungicide and in at least one treatment block the plants are treated with at least one biological control agent, with the proviso that the last treatment block comprises subjecting the plants to at least one treatment with at least one biological control agent.
