    Abstract: Verfahren zum Reinigen eines Blutfilters (30) während einer Reinigungssequenz, wobei das Verfahren umfasst:(i) Pumpen, während einer ersten Phase (108) der Reinigungssequenz, eines physiologisch sicheren Fluids zurück und vorwärts durch das Innere und/oder das Äußere einer Mehrzahl von Hohlfasermembranen (30c) des Blutfilters (30) zum Entfernen oder Lösen von Blutrückständen, wie z.B. Blutgerinnseln, Proteinen und/oder eines biologischen Fluids, Injizieren von Luft in das physiologisch sichere Fluid nach der ersten Phase (108) zur Bildung eines Luft/Fluid-Gemisches,(ii) Pumpen, während einer zweiten Phase (110) der Reinigungssequenz, des Luft/Fluid-Gemisches durch das Innere und/oder das Äußere der Mehrzahl der Hohlfasermembranen (30c) des Blutfilters (30) zum weiteren Entfernen oder Lösen von Blutrückständen davon, wobei während der Phasen (i) und (ii) das Luft/Fluid-Gemisch an den Blutfilter (30) anstatt an einen Ablauf abgegeben wird und Überführen des Luft/Fluid-Gemisches nach der zweiten Phase (110) zusammen mit den entfernten oder gelösten Blutrückständen zu dem Ablauf, wobei die Verwendung des physiologisch sicheren Fluids die Durchführung der Reinigungssequenz nach einer Blutbehandlung ermöglicht.

    Abstract: A peritoneal dialysis system includes a treatment fluid generation unit configured to mix purified water with at least one concentrate to make a physiologically safe fluid and a peritoneal dialysis apparatus fluidly coupled to the treatment fluid generation unit which includes a filter including a plurality of hollow fiber membranes, a dialysis fluid circuit in fluid communication with the filter, a pump for pumping the physiologically safe fluid through at least a portion of the dialysis fluid circuit and the filter, a selective air access in fluid communication with the dialysis fluid circuit, and a control unit configured to control the pump during a filter cleaning sequence in which (i) the physiologically safe fluid is received from the treatment fluid generation unit and transferred across insides and/or outsides of the plurality of hollow fiber membranes at least one time, (ii) a fluid mixture is formed by opening the selective air access to mix air with the physiologically safe fluid, and (iii) the fluid mixture is transferred across the insides and/or outsides of the plurality of hollow fiber membranes at least one time. 17-nr-99

    Abstract: A patient platform for patient engagement and treatment compliance is disclosed. In an example, a processor is configured to obtain medical information from a patient for engagement and treatment compliance tracking. To obtain the medical information, the processor causes a user interface to be displayed with fields to be populated with medical information. After receiving a selection of a data field, the processor provides an option to enter medical information from an image. If the option is selected, the processor receives a recorded image of a medical device or a screen of a medical device, extracts text from the image, enables a selection of at least a portion of the text from the image, and writes the selected text from the image into the data field of the user interface as the medical information. The processor transmits the medical information to a patient medical record stored in a clinician database.
