Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lancet which can maintain the sterility, i.e. asepsis, of the tip of a lancet needle in the unused state at least until immediately before use and hygienically protect the tip of a lancet needle in the used state. SOLUTION: In a lancet including a lancet needle with the tip and a hollow body to surround at least the tip, the tip area of the lancet needle is movable within the hollow body and the hollow body can be at least partially pierced by the tip of the lancet needle during the lancing process. The hollow body consists of an elastic material which reseals the tip of the lancet needle in the hollow body as the case may be when it is retracted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cartridge prevented in malfunction due to loosening of a tape. SOLUTION: The tape cartridge (100) for body fluid analysis comprises a test tape (104), a reel body (102) for an unused part of the test tape, and a reel body (103) for a used part of the test tape. For feeding the test tape (30) on, at least one reel body (103) is driven. A manually operated carrying mechanism (107 and 108) is provided for a tape driving device. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the tips of the lancets are erected prior to a puncture, for example by swiveling them out of the plane of the wheel, in this context, high precision is required in order for the lancet puncture to be associated with little pain, and moreover, erecting the lancet tips should be feasible with as little effort as possible to allow this to be performed in a compact puncturing device. SOLUTION: In the lancet wheel (1) having a plurality of lancets (2) in a ring-shaped arrangement, the lancets (2) includes a lancet body (4) that ends in a lancet tip (3). The lancet wheel (1) has a carrier (5) that carries the lancets (2), whereby the lancets (2) are connected to the carrier (5) via bars (7, 7a, 7b, 7c) that allow for mobility of the lancets (2) relative to the carrier (5). PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent repeated puncturing of a body part by a lancet. SOLUTION: This blood collection system comprises a housing 2 having a lancet guide 3 guiding a lancet 8 onto a predetermined puncture path, and a lancet drive 4 driving a puncturing movement of the lancet on the predetermined puncture path. The puncturing movement comprises a forward movement phase in the direction of puncturing and, after reaching a reversal point, a subsequent retraction movement phase. The lancet drive has a driving spring 5, which is connected to the lancet so that the lancet is driven in the puncturing direction. The system comprises an oscillation control device for controlling oscillation of an oscillatory system which comprises the lancet and the driving spring, in such a manner that its oscillation is altered to prevent repeated puncturing of the body part by the lancet. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel systems and techniques for lancing tissue either alone or in combination with testing of the resulting bodily fluid. SOLUTION: A supply 28 of lancets for a multi-use lancing device are carried by a tape 22 and sequentially brought from a storage position to an activating position by advancing the tape around a bend 39. The lancets 28 are non-circular in cross-section along their longitudinal lengths, and in their activating position they extend from the tape 22 such that their sharp tips 31 are available for lancing tissue. The carrying tape 22 can be arranged in reel-to-reel format in a housing having a lancing opening. The lancets 28 can be integral with the tape 22 and activated to move the lancet 28 through the lancing opening by moving the tape 22 along its tape path or by translating a dedicated service loop of the tape. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood collection system reducing pains at the time of paracentesis, simplifying constitution and facilitating an operation. SOLUTION: A double lever connection mechanism is moved from a first bend position via a straight position corresponding to the maximum paracentetic depth to a second bend position during a piercing motion and is moved from the second bend position via the straight position corresponding to the maximum paracentetic depth to the first bend position during a hitting preparing motion. The degree of freedom of the motion of a lancet is limited so as not to project the tip of the lancet from an exit opening during the paracentetic operation preparing motion. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infusion device including a pump, an electronic control part for controlling the pump, and a mechanically stop device for stopping the pump by mechanically blocking pump motion. SOLUTION: The infusion device includes a pump 1, an electronic control part 8 for controlling the pump 1, and a mechanically stop device 11, 12, 13, 14 for stopping the pump 1 by mechanically blocking pump motion, wherein the stop device 11, 12, 13, 14 periodically requires resetting by the control part 8 to continue infusion during operation. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable puncturing tool which is prevented from being recycled. SOLUTION: The puncturing tool comprises a trigger device and a blocking parts, wherein the trigger device is characterized in that the trigger button drives a bearing parts and a support plate to roll relatively to each other thereby to shift a lancet holder into a second position and then a spring parts gets at least partly relaxed from being strained before lifted down thereby to shift the lancet holder relatively to a housing so that the top of the lancet may project from the opening of the housing; and the blocking parts is arranged to block the bearing parts and the support plate from rolling relatively to each other. The trigger device drives the bearing parts and the support plate to roll relatively to each other thereby to shift a lancet holder into the second position so that the puncturing tool is prevented from being recycled before the blocking parts does. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly position a test element, in a system and a method for examining a liquid sample, in particular, for measuring a glucose in blood. SOLUTION: A tape is fed intermittently by a positioning device so as to position accurately a wetting area of the test element attached with the liquid sample, in a measuring portion. A sensor unit for measuring light reflectance is preferably used for positioning the test element. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
