PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prevention or improvement agent for overactive bladder which prevents and/or improves overactive bladder or dysuria such as urinary urgency and urge incontinence.SOLUTION: This prevention or improvement agent for overactive bladder includes as an effective component at least one kind selected from the group consisting of red cabbage (Brassicaoleracea L. var. capitata) extract, Yucca foam extract, stevia (Steviarebaudiana) extract, β-carotene, monascus yellow, garden thyme (Thymusvulgaris) extract, Carthamustinctorius extract, nootkatone (Nootkatone), mevastatin, and banana (Musaparadisiaca) extract.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method in which triterpene alcohol of high purity can be obtained by high yield.SOLUTION: The method of producing triterpene alcohol comprises sequentially performing the following processes (A)-(C): (A) a process which carries out the alkali hydrolysis of γ-oryzanol; (B) a process in which the alkali hydrolysis object is mixed with a low polarity organic solvent, and which extracts triterpene alcohol and obtains a triterpene alcohol containing low polarity organic solvent; and (C) a process in which water is added to the obtained triterpene alcohol containing low polarity organic solvent, the low polarity organic solvent is removed, then the triterpene alcohol is melted in hot water, and then cooled.
