    Abstract: A display device has a display panel, a backlight adjacent a first surface of the panel, a blocker adjacent a second surface of the panel, and at least one bracket between the panel and backlight. An edge of the second surface of the panel is exposed, the first and second surfaces are substantially parallel, at least one bracket is coupled to the first surface without overlapping an active region of the panel that displays an image, and the blocker does not overlap the active region of the panel and overlaps the bracket along an axis passing through the panel. The blocker is visible at a position in front of the panel.
