Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a respiratory mask assembly capable of enhancing comfortableness of a patient and sealability. SOLUTION: A respiratory mask assembly for delivering respiratory gas to the patient includes a frame having a front surface, and a backface opposed to the front face, and adapted to be faced to the patient when used. The frame defines an inner wall and an outer wall extended from the backface, and the inner wall and the outer wall are arranged separately to define a channel therebetween. A cushion may be attached detachably to the frame, to be repeatedly engageable and separable with/from the frame. The cushion is provided with a side wall inserted into the channel of the frame, and the side wall has the first connecting face engaged with the second connecting face provided in the channel when the cushion is engaged with the frame. The first connecting face and the second connecting face are connected each other to attach detachably the cushion to the frame. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a respiratory mask assembly for improving comfort in a patient and sealing property. SOLUTION: A respiratory mask assembly for delivering breathable gas to a patient includes a frame having a body and a side frame member provided on each lateral side of the body. Each side frame member includes an integrally formed first connector part. A headgear assembly is removably attachable to the frame. The headgear assembly has a second connector part adapted to be removably coupled with the first connector part provided on the frame. The second connector part is manually movable to a releasing position to detach the headgear assembly from the frame. The headgear assembly is rotationally adjustable with respect to the frame. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a vent configured to alter the ventilation characteristic of a mask so that the mask is more compatible with the operation parameter of a control algorithm of a CPAP system. SOLUTION: This flow regulation vent 10 for regulating flow from a pressurized gas supply includes: a fixed portion 14 adapted to engage with a gas supply conduit; and a movable portion 12 connected to the fixed portion by a hinge 16, flowingly connected to the pressurized gas supply and energized by spring force. The fixed portion has a gas flow orifice 20. By altering characteristics of one or both of the movable portion and the fixed portion, the flow characteristics of the vent can be altered at any pressure level within a pressure operating range. Abstract:
The invention relates to a patient ventilation or breathing device and components therefore for use in all forms of respiratory apparatus ventilation systems including invasive and non-invasive ventilation, positive airway pressure therapy, Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), and particularly Bi-Level therapy and treatment for sleep disordered breathing (SDB) conditions such as Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), and for various other respiratory disorders and diseases. The invention particularly relates to a blower, to a blade, to a gasket, to a cable, to an impeller, to a gas inlet and inlet member, to an improved air path or fluid flow path and components thereof, and/or to a modular ventilation or breathing device as referred to above and particularly incorporating one or more of the other aspects of the invention.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a respiratory mask assembly capable of improving comfort for a patient and sealing. SOLUTION: This respiratory mask assembly for delivering respirable gas to the patient is provided with a frame having a front and a back which is applied to face the front during its use. A cushion having side walls is removably mounted on the frame. The cushion has a rim extending along the side walls and a film is provided to substantially surround the rim. An inner edge of the film specifies an opening and the opening is approximately trapezoidal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a respiratory mask assembly that can improve comfort of a patient and airtightness.SOLUTION: The respiratory mask assembly, which provides a breathable gas to the patient, includes a frame having a front face and a rear face opposite to the front face and applied to face the patient in use. The frame defines an inner wall and an outer wall extending from the rear surface, the inner and outer walls being spaced to define a channel therebetween. A cushion is removably attachable to the frame such that the cushion and frame are repeatably engageable with and disengagable from one another. The cushion includes a sidewall to be inserted into the channel of the frame, the sidewall having a first interlocking surface that engages a second interlocking surface provided in the channel when the cushion and frame are engaged with one another. The first and second interlocking surfaces interlock with one another to removably attach the cushion to the frame.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a respirator mask assembly which can improve the amenity of a patient and sealability. SOLUTION: This respirator mask assembly which provides a respirable gas to the patient is equipped with a frame having a front surface and a back surface which is adapted in a manner to face the patient in use. An elbow assembly is turnably connected to the front surface of the frame, and the elbow assembly has at least one vent opening. A removable vent cover is removably connected to the elbow assembly under a relationship wherein the vent cover covers one or more vent openings. The vent cover has a cover body and at least one vent opening for discharging the gas to the outside. The vent cover has an annular base which restricts an opening into which a part of the elbow assembly is inserted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
