An apparatus and method for transmitting and receiving broadcasting information transmission in a Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) system are provided. The method for transmitting broadcasting information includes dividing a Program Specific Information (PSI) and/or Service Information (SI) table received from an upper layer into a plurality of sections, generating section numbers with respect to the sections, channel-coding and interleaving the sections, generating a Transport Stream (TS) packet including at least one section, section information and channel coding information, and multiplexing the TS packet together with a data TS packet.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for improving transmitting/receiving performance based on location information of a Mobile Station (MS) in a communication system are provided. The method includes measuring coordinates of the MS to obtain the location information by using a navigation device, measuring received signal strengths of each Base Stations (BSs) according to the location information and transmitting the measurement result to a serving BS, receiving regional cell status information generated from the serving BS, and performing a transmitting/receiving operation according to a MS location included in the regional cell status information.

SOLUTION: The apparatus and the method for assigning frequency resources to user terminal devices (UE) are provided for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) mobile communication systems. A base station receives feedback information included with at least mobile information from a user terminal device, and determines whether the user terminal device belongs to a high-speed or low-speed group using the mobile information. If the user terminal device belongs to the high-speed group, the base station assigns a frequency resource for the user terminal device according to an open-loop method. On the other hand, if the user terminal device belongs to the low-speed group, the base station assigns a frequency resource for the user terminal device according to a close-loop method. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument and a method which detects easily a TDM frame of a TDM mobile communications system, and to improve receiving reliability of a control channel. SOLUTION: In a time division multiplex (TDM) mobile communications system, a frame is received through a forward direction control channel. A periodic redundancy inspection is performed to a received frame, and a first error detecting bit is outputted. A received power of the received frame is measured. When decoding a channel of the received frame, a first path metric is calculated. After presuming a second path metric using the first path metric and the received power, threshold predetermined as the second path metric is compared, and the second error detection bit is outputted. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiplex cyclic redundancy check (CRC) device and a method for detection of a section and acquisition of reliability information in a digital video broadcast system. SOLUTION: The method includes: a step of detecting transmission stream packets including section data by performing the filtering of packet identifier (PID) to the packets received via a radio network; and a step of performing frame buffering by means of CRC to the payload of the section based on header information of the above section data. SOLUTION: A base station decides whether a relay transmission system is set, by using a feedback information and by grasping the correlation between the number of a transmitting antenna and the number of a receiving antenna, in order for mobile terminal equipment to support high-sped data. The base station confirms whether it meets a service quality of the mobile terminal equipment, according to the set relay transmission system, when the number of the transmitting antenna is more than the number of the receiving antenna. When the service quality of the mobile terminal equipment is not met, the base station transmits the high-speed data via a specific relay-station group that is adjacent to the mobile terminal equipment.
