Abstract:
A method is provided for providing a received rich media service by a terminal. The method includes receiving and decoding service content, searching for reference information using representation information of the reference information in the received service content, and composing the received service content in a form that can be provided to a user, using the searched reference information. The composed service content is then output to the user through a user interface.
Abstract:
A computer readable medium having data stored thereon is provided. A structure of the data includes a media data box including two or more media data, and a movie data ('moov') box including information on view sequence data in the media data. The 'moov' box includes track reference information indicating that a track box for one view sequence references a track box of another view sequence.
Abstract:
A system and method for transmitting broadcast service data in a digital broadcasting system. The method includes setting a flag indicating a service area representative of coverage where broadcast service data is provided, for each broadcast service; and transmitting broadcast service information including the flag and a Transport Stream (TS) including the broadcast service data.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving an Electronic Service Guide (ESG) for roaming users in a Convergence of Broadcasting and Mobile Service (CBMS) system. A network entity generates a normal ESG indicating services available for local users in a network, and a special ESG indicating services available for roaming users in the network, the roaming users entering into the network from a neighboring network of the network, and transmits over at least one of an interactive network and a broadcast network the normal ESG and the special ESG to a terminal in the network. The terminal, or a roaming user, in the network receives the normal ESG and the special ESG, and performs a user roaming procedure or a service roaming procedure based on the special ESG.
Abstract:
A method for providing a notification message in a transmitter of a mobile broadcast system supporting an interaction channel is disclosed. Upon an occurrence of a notification event, a first means generates a notification message, and generates at least one delivery request message including a target address based on subscription information of the corresponding terminal, using the generated notification message. A second means determines a channel over which it will deliver a notification message to the corresponding terminal based on the target address, and delivers the notification message over the determined channel.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for receiving user roaming and service roaming services from a foreign network in a terminal that has moved from a home network to the foreign network in a digital broadcasting system are provided, in which the terminal receives an ESG from a foreign service provider after entering into the foreign network, selects a roaming type between user roaming and service roaming by determining if an intended broadcasting service is provided from the foreign network, referring to the ESG, receives the intended service from the foreign service provider, if the roaming type is the user roaming, and receives the intended service from a home service provider over the foreign network, if the roaming type is the service roaming.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method are provided for receiving multiple streams. A group session structure is defined and streams are decoded according to the defined group session structure so that a single decoder can sequentially process demultiplexed streams allocated to multiple decoding buffers when multiple logical media streams are multiplexed into one physical stream in a mobile broadcast communication system based on Lightweight Application Scene Representation (LASeR).
Abstract:
A system and method is provided for providing a service guide for a mobile broadcast (BCAST) service in a wireless communication/broadcast system supporting the BCAST service. If there is a need to provide a service guide in the mobile broadcast system, a Service Guide Subscription Source (SGSS) delivers a subscription and provisioning source, and a purchase and promotional source, to a BCAST Service Distribution/Adaptation block. The BCAST Service Distribution/Adaptation block then generates and provides a service guide using the sources.
Abstract:
Provided is a broadcasting system based on a network using an Internet protocol (IP). In the broadcasting system, a broadcast transmitter previously transmits first access information including a first network address for transmitting a general notification message and second access information associated with management of the broadcasting system, to a broadcast receiver. If a general notification event occurs, the general notification message is generated and the generated general notification message is transmitted to the broadcast receiver via one of a broadcast network and an interaction network using the first network address. The broadcast receiver receives a general notification message based on the first network address in data received from the broadcast transmitter.
Abstract:
A broadcasting system for providing access information of a broadcast service, wherein a transmission apparatus generates the access information for at least one of a broadcast network and an interaction network, from which the broadcast service is transmitted, and transmits the access information to a terminal via a specific communication network. A reception apparatus receives the access information of the broadcast service via the communication network, analyzes the received access information to determine a network from which the broadcast service is provided, among the broadcast network and the interaction network, and sets an access address for reception of the broadcast service.
