The present invention relates to a method for processing a three-dimensional video content, wherein a video stream processor (2) is inputted with a video stream (Fi) comprising video images and/or data images arranged within single frames according to a determined transport configuration and adapted to produce a three-dimensional display, wherein said video stream processor (2) generates, in response to a control signal (8) sent by a control module (5), a video signal (9,13) reproduceable on an associated visualisation apparatus (4) comprising at least one portion of said images, as arranged in each single frame for at least one of said single frames, so as to support the user in recognising said determined transport configuration.

The present invention relates to a device for receiving and transmitting information in a mobile communication network. The device comprises means for making a voice call to a telephone number, a memory area for storing said telephone number and at least one identifier of the mobile network operator to which said telephone number belongs. The device further comprises means for retrieving said identifier through the mobile communication network. The latter means extract the network operator identifier of the called number from a message sent automatically when setting up said voice call. The invention also relates to a communication method for a mobile communication network.

A process is described for transmitting at least one alarm signal from an alarmed apparatus to a PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point, 127), through a system composed of a plurality of cooperating apparatuses (101, 104, 108, 106, 116, 119, 111, 124, 122) comprising at least one such alarmed apparatus (101) and at least one responding apparatus, said apparatuses being equipped at least with memory means, processing means and a first radio system for direct reception/transmission, from apparatus to apparatus, of signals and data, and said plurality of cooperating apparatus comprising at least one apparatus (124, 122) equipped with means adapted to transmit said alarm signal to said PSAP (127). The present invention relates to a method for processing a video stream of digital images, the method comprising the steps of: receiving the video stream which comprises at least one composite frame containing a pair of stereoscopic digital images according to a predetermined packing format; receiving metadata which describes the format of the composite frame; generating an output video stream which can be reproduced on a visualization device, wherein the method further comprises the steps of determining the area in the composite frame which is occupied by one image of the stereoscopic pair within the composite frame based on said metadata; extracting the image contained in said area from the composite frame, and generating an output frame containing said extracted image.

A method is described for generating a stereoscopic video stream (101 ) comprising composite images (C), said composite images (C) comprising information about a right image (R) and a left image (I..,), wherein pixels of said right image (R) and pixels of said left image (L) are selected, and said selected pixels are entered into a composite image (C) of said stereoscopic video stream. All the pixels of said right image (R ) and all the pixels of said left image (L) are entered into different positions in said composite image (C), by leaving one of said two images unchanged and breaking up the other one into two regions (R1, R2) comprising a plurality of pixels and entering said regions into said composite image (C).

A video stream composed of combined video frames, and methods and systems for its generation, transmission, reception and reproduction are described; the video frames have a first resolution and comprise in their entirety two contents usable through extraction from the aforesaid video frame: a first content belonging to a video stream (F1) at a second resolution lower than the first resolution of the frame; and, in the area of the frame formed by the remaining pixels, at least a second content belonging to an information stream (F2) having, in the case where it is also a video stream, a resolution equal to or less than the second resolution, where during the fruition of one of the two video streams it is shown full-screen in its entirety, or in the case of a data information stream, data encoded via a set of pixels, the number of which is less than or equal to the number of pixels left free by the first video stream. It describes a method for transporting data within a digital video stream, wherein said digital video stream comprises information and/or application data not intended for display and at least one frame comprising an image to be displayed, and wherein said at least one frame comprises a number of pixels which is greater than the number of pixels of said image. The method provides for entering said information and/or application data into pixels of said frame which are not occupied by said image. The invention also relates to a method for playing a video stream that carries information and/or application data within its frames.
