    Abstract: Constitution: A photosensitive resin composition for printing plates comprising the following components A, B-1, C and D, or a photosensitive resin composition for printing plates, comprising the following components A, B-2, C and D: A: a hydrophilic polymer B-1: a rubber having a molecular weight of 40,00 or more B-2: a dynamically-vulcanized rubber C: a photo-polymerizing unsaturated compound having ethylenic double bond(s) in the molecule D: a photo-polymerization initiator. Advantages: The photosensitive resin compositions for printing plates of the invention have high-degree image reproducibility and flexibility suitable for flexography and additionally have good water developability with satisfactory compatibility with aqueous ink. Therefore, using the compositions, flexographic printing plates with excellent printing durability in flexography using aqueous ink or other flexographic printing inks can be produced. Further, using these, water-developable plates for flexography with good rubber elasticity can be produced.

    Abstract: A photosensitive resin composition comprising compo- jents A, Band C described below is provided. The composition of the present invention is quite effectively usable for the preparation of photosensitive resin printing plates having excel- ent water developability, image reproducibility and printabil- ty. The composition comprises:A. 100 parts by weight of a completely or partially saponified polyvinyl acetate having a dregree of saponification of 50 to 100 mole %,B. 20 to 300 parts by weight of a photopolymerizable monomer having at least one ethylenically unsaturated bond in the molecule, andC. 1 to 50 parts by weight of a polymer obtained by homopolymerizing a polymerizable unsaturated monomer having the following groups (1) and (2) in the molecule or copolymerizing the same with another unsaturated monomer:wherein R 1 represents H or CH 3 and R 2 and R 3 represent each an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms.

    Abstract: This invention relates to a photosensitive polymer composition containing as essential components (A) a soluble polymer, (B) a photopolymerizable compound having an ethylenic double bond in the molecule there of and (C) a photopolymerization initiator, the soluble polymer comprising a water-soluble polymer and an alcohol-soluble polymer, the composition having a sea-and-islands structure comprising sea containing the water-soluble polymer as a main component and islands containing the alcohol-soluble polymer as a main component, and the islands are independently in the form of sphere or oval having a diameter of 0.1 to 20 microns. The photosensitive polymer composition affords a printing plate having high image reproducibility and waterdevelopability and capable of withstanding the coating of an aqueous polymer according to a printing method.
