PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LCD which reduces power consumption when frame rate conversion is used in order to improve frame picture quality and solve a motion blur of the LCD, thereby reducing heat to be generated by the LCD.SOLUTION: In an LCD, whether to perform polarity conversion to each of a plurality of frames is determined. When the frames are displayed, the conversion frequency of the polarity of the frame is smaller than an update frequency of the frame in a unit time. For example, when 120 pieces of frames are displayed per second, the polarity of a liquid crystal cell is converted to original frames 410 and 420, and not converted to an interpolated frame 410A. When 240 pieces of frames are displayed per second, the polarity of the crystal cell is converted to the original frames 410 and 420, and not converted to interpolated frames 410B, 410C, and 410D.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output buffer selectively adjusting an operation power loss. SOLUTION: The output buffer for providing an output voltage signal includes an operational amplifier, a controller and a power circuit. The operational amplifier provides the output voltage signal according to an input voltage signal. The controller determines whether a reference signal corresponding to the input voltage signal satisfies an energy-saving condition, and triggers an energy-saving operation event if yes, or triggers a normal operation event if not. The power circuit provides an energy-saving power signal to drive the operational amplifier in response to the energy-saving operation event and provides a normal power signal to drive the operational amplifier in response to the normal operation event, such that the operational amplifier provides the output voltage signal according to the input voltage signal. SOLUTION: This system is constituted so that a stereoscopic effect is given when video displayed on a display device is reflected on human eyes by transmitting a three-dimensional video auxiliary signal transmitted from a three- dimensional video signal generator to an eye interface via a communication medium, receiving and processing the three-dimensional video auxiliary signal via the communication medium by the eye interface by being interposed between the human eyes and the video displayed on the display device in a three- dimensional video signal display system with the display device, the three- dimensional video signal generator, a three-dimensional video auxiliary signal transmitter and the eye interface.

Each multiplexer unit has first and second input terminals respectively receiving the positive and negative pixel voltages, and an output terminal coupled to a data line. A first switching device has first and second switches serially coupled between the first input and output terminals. A node between the first and second switches is selectively grounded via a third switch. A second switching device has fourth and fifth switches serially coupled between the second input and output terminals.

SOLUTION: The digital-to-analog converter comprises a first row of resistors, a first group of switches arranged in cascade connection, a second row of resistors, and a second group of switches arranged in cascade connection, and the first row of resistors is electrically connected between a first voltage and an output terminal in the digital-to-analog converter. The first group of switches arranged in cascade connection has first and second switches controlled by a digital signal. The second row of resistors have first and second matching resistors electrically connected between a second voltage and the output terminal in the digital-to-analog converter. The second switches arranged in cascade connection include first and second matching switches controlled by an inverted signal of the digital signal. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LCD and a driving method applicable to the LCD such that a power consumption and heat generated by the LCD are reduced by decreasing the number of times of liquid crystal cell polarity conversion even when a frame update rate does not decrease.SOLUTION: Although the polarity of an original frame is converted, the polarity of an interpolation frame is not converted. It is determined whether a frame is subjected to polarity conversion based upon whether the frame includes a vertical synchronizing signal, or the number of all output vertical scanning lines.
