Abstract:
A bacterium producing monophosphoryl lipid A (MLA) comprising a genetic modification that increases expression of a gene encoding LpxE polypeptide and a method of producing MLA are provided. According to the present invention, MLA may be produced in a simple manner without acid hydrolysis and/or base hydrolysis.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to: a fusion polypeptide in which an anti-inflammatory polypeptide and a ferritin monomer fragment are bound; and a pharmaceutical composition for treating inflammatory diseases, containing the same as an active ingredient and, more specifically, to: a fusion polypeptide in which an anti-inflammatory polypeptide is fused to an N-terminus and/or a C-terminus of a ferritin monomer fragment from which a portion of a fourth loop and a fifth helix, of a human derived ferritin monomer, are removed; and a use thereof for treating inflammatory diseases. As in the above, the fusion polypeptide, which has an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 and in which an anti-inflammatory polypeptide is fused to an N-terminus and/or a C-terminus of a fragment of a human-derived ferritin monomer, can fuse two types of anti-inflammatory polypeptides, acting through different mechanisms, into a nano cage and administer the same, and thus the fusion polypeptide can exhibit an excellent effect in the treatment of inflammatory diseases including sepsis.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a system for controlling devices and information on a network by hand gestures, and more particularly, to a system for controlling devices and information on a network by hand gestures in which a device or a file to be controlled is selected by a user and a display device is pointed so that information and data can be shared and that various devices can be coupled to each other easily and can be controlled easily. The system for controlling devices and information on a network by hand gestures can remarkably improve the interaction between various input and display devices and a user under a ubiquitous computing environment.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a virtual experimental apparatus and method for a nano device design. The virtual experimental apparatus for a nano device design includes a virtual work piece determining unit for determining a virtual experimental material for a nano device design, a virtual process experimental unit for applying at least one process to the virtual experimental material determined by the virtual work piece determining unit, and a virtual process analyzing unit for analyzing a result of each process applied to the virtual experimental material by the virtual process experimental unit. The virtual process analyzing unit further includes a multi-scale analyzing unit for analyzing the process result in at least one particle level.
Abstract:
For depolymerization of a cured epoxy resin material, used is a composition including a transition metal salt or a transition metal oxide containing a transition metal element (metal element that belongs to Groups 3-12 in the Periodic Table). In the reaction solvent, an oxidation occurs by the medium of the transition metal element so that the cured epoxy resin material may be depolymerized and decomposed. In this manner, it is possible to carry out depolymerization of a cured epoxy resin material at a temperature of 200°C, specifically 100°C or lower very simply and rapidly, and to reduce the processing cost and energy requirement.
Abstract:
Provided are a composition for swelling pretreatment of a cured thermosetting resin material before decomposition, including a surfactant and an acidic material, and a method for swelling pretreatment of a cured thermosetting resin material before decomposition by using the same. When carrying out swelling pretreatment of a cured thermosetting resin material before decomposition by using the composition, it is possible to accelerate infiltration of the acidic material into the cured thermosetting resin material and swelling of the cured thermosetting resin material by virtue of the surfactant, and thus to increase the decomposition reactive surface area. Therefore, it is possible to increase reaction efficiency during the subsequent decomposition process, and to increase the decomposition ratio during the same period of time.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and apparatus for receiving data in a human body communication system. The receiving apparatus, which comprises plural receiving electrodes, selects the optimum pair of receiving electrodes when receiving data, so that it can improve quality of received information and obtain position information of a sensor in the human body.
