PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a structure for keeping a balance between electric power and performance without significant change in integrated circuit manufacturing steps.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of an integrated circuit comprises the steps of: evaluating an integrated circuit design regarding a power consumption balance and performance balance using a computerized device; identifying, in the integrated circuit design, a first set of integrated circuit transistor structures requiring reduction of power leak and a second set of integrated circuit transistor structures requiring improvement of performance; as to the first set of integrated circuit transistor structures, before formation of a gate insulator 120, changing the integrated circuit design to add implantation of a first dopant in a substrate 100 into the first set of integrated circuit transistor structures; further, as to the second set of integrated circuit transistor structures, before formation of the gate insulator 120, changing the integrated circuit design to add implantation of a second dopant in the substrate 100 into the second set of integrated circuit transistor structures; and next, outputting the integrated circuit design which has been already changed from the computerized device, or manufacturing a device in accordance with the integrated circuit design which have been already changed.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for securing a computer in a socket and a device having a computer processor installed in the socket in a fixed manner.SOLUTION: A dual force single point actuation integrated load mechanism for securing a computer processor in a socket comprises: a base mounted around the socket; and a load plate rotatably coupled to the base and secured on the base when an activate lever on a first side of the base and a hinge lever on a second side of the base are secured above the load plate. The activate lever on the first side of the load plate is rotatably coupled with the base and is secured when the activate lever is fully rotated. The hinge lever on the second side of the load plate is rotatably coupled with the base and connected to the activate lever such that rotating the activate lever rotates the hinge lever. The hinge lever is secured when the activate lever is secured.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a system, and a program for combining and processing transactions.SOLUTION: The method as a first embodiment to achieve the above object includes: accessing a database by computer processing; and combining the transactions including a plurality of inquiry queries. The method includes the steps of: connecting the computer to the database; receiving a plurality of transactions from a plurality of clients; combining the inquiry queries in the plurality of transactions; and sending combined inquiry queries to the database as a combined transaction.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To visually analyse a job process by extracting a significant workflow from a non-structured log of the job process.SOLUTION: A job process analysis method includes: a process 418 for simplifying a log; a process 428 for improving a normal grammar based on the simplified log; and a process 434 for producing a workflow based on the normal grammar improved as a result. The process for simplifying the log repeats a step of generating a graph from a given log trace, computing topological features of the generated graph to specify a node, and deleting the specified node to simplify the graph. The process for improving the normal grammar based on the simplified log includes preliminarily preparing a plurality of restrictions by a user, giving an initial value of the normal grammar, operating the restrictions on the normal grammar to improve the normal grammar, and applying the simplified log to the improved normal grammar to accept the improved normal grammar in response to a score of compatibility being equal to or more than a predetermined value.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, software, and method for dividing a tree structure of a structured document.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method for, on the basis of a tree structure defined by the schemer of an electronic structured document, dividing the tree structure of the structured document by computer processing. The method includes: a step of, about at least a portion of one or more elements included in the tree structure defined by the schemer, calculating the index value of the size of a partial tree with each element as a route; and a step of, by using the index value, determining a division pattern to be used for dividing the tree structure of the structured document to which the schemer is applied, that is, a division pattern in which the size of the partial tree after division satisfies a prescribed reference when the tree structure of the structured document is divided.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus, a system and a method for controlling a polymer through a nanopore using a piezoelectric material. SOLUTION: There are provided an apparatus, a system, and a method for using a piezoelectric material for controlling a polymer through a nanopore. A reservoir is formed filled with a conductive fluid. A nanopore is formed through a membrane. The membrane comprises an electroconductive layer, a piezoelectric layer, and an insulating layer. The piezoelectric layer is operative to control a size of the nanopore for clamping/releasing a polymer as well as to control the thickness of part of the membrane when a voltage is applied to the piezoelectric layer. Combinations of clamping/releasing the polymer and changing the thickness of part of the membrane can move a polymer through the nanopore at any electrically controlled speed and also stretch or break a polymer in the nanopore. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for radiation monitoring that obtains real time information concerning the amount of radiation. SOLUTION: A semiconductor device includes: a semiconductor substrate; a buried insulator layer disposed on the semiconductor substrate, the buried insulator layer configured to retain an amount of charge in a plurality of charge traps in response to a radiation exposure by the semiconductor device; a semiconductor layer disposed on the buried insulating layer; a second insulator layer disposed on the semiconductor layer; a gate conducting layer disposed on the second insulator layer; and one or more side contacts electrically connected to the semiconductor layer. The method for radiation monitoring includes: applying a backgate voltage to a radiation monitor, the radiation monitor comprising a field effect transistor (FET); exposing the radiation monitor to radiation; determining a change in a threshold voltage of the radiation monitor; and determining an amount of radiation exposure based on the change in threshold voltage. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a patterned silicon-on-insulator (SOI)/silicon-on-nothing (SON) composite structure by a porous Si technique. SOLUTION: A patterned SOI/SON composite structure and a method of forming the same are provided. In the SOI/SON composite structure, a patterned SOI/SON structure is sandwiched between an Si overlayer and a semiconductor substrate. The method of forming the patterned SOI/SON composite structure includes a shared processing treatment step wherein both SOI and SON structures are formed. This invention further provides a method of forming a composite structure including an embedded conductive/SON structure, and a method of forming a composite structure including only an embedded void plane. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely communicate published information over a multicast communication channel without the need to generate a random key for each published information, regarding the published information of a hierarchical information aggregate. SOLUTION: A multicast host is provided for distributing information published about a plurality of topics to each of which a topic encryption key is related, to subscriber devices of these topics. The multicast host includes: a means for receiving information relating to a topic; means for accessing subscriber data 104 representing one or more users subscribing the topic; a means for retrieving a topic encryption key associated with the topic; means 150 for encrypting the information with the retrieved topic encryption key; and a means 152 for distributing the information to the one or more users. The topic encryption key is encrypted by using a logical key hierarchical structure, in which a logical key corresponds to the users, and distributed to the subscriber devices.
