    Abstract: The polyamide-based resin expanded beads are expanded beads including a polyamide-based resin as a base resin, in which the average value of bead weight of the expanded beads is 0.5 mg or more and 8 mg or less, the coefficient of variation of the bead weight of the expanded beads is 10% or less, and the average value of the ratio of a long diameter to a short diameter (a long diameter/a short diameter) of the expanded beads measured with a projection image photographing type bead size distribution analyzer is 1 or more and 1.5 or less, the coefficient of variation of the ratio (a long diameter/a short diameter) is 12% or less, the average value of the a short diameter is 1 mm or more and 4 mm or less, and the coefficient of variation of the a short diameter is 10% or less.

    Abstract: A method for producing environmentally friendly, mono-extruded hemp composite board (EHB) is provided. By using hemp fiber and hemp hurd in combination with virgin and/or recycled binders, the system and method may be used to create preferable substitutes for traditional construction boards. The method generally comprises steps of processing hemp hurd/fiber and injecting said hemp hurd/fiber into an extruder along with a binder. Waste products from other production streams may be added as well to reduce waste/cost of said production streams. The resulting EHB is structurally superior to traditional construction boards largely due to the structural characteristics of dispersed hemp hurd and hemp fiber, their complete encapsulation in a binder material, and their lower hygroscopic properties. Additionally, since the EHB is created using an extruder, a downstream extrusion arrangement may be used to mold the EHB into shapes that are difficult to achieve with traditional construction boards.

    Abstract: A foam body constituted of a 4-methyl-1-pentene-based polymer, in which one or more temperatures showing a maximum value of loss tangent (tan δ) of dynamic viscoelasticity, which is obtained by dynamic viscoelasticity measurement conducted under the conditions of a temperature increase rate of 4° C./min, a frequency of 1.59 Hz, and a distortion of 0.1%, exist in at least a range of 10° C. or higher and 100° C. or lower, and the maximum value of the loss tangent is 0.5 or more and 3.5 or less. Another aspect relates to a polyolefin-based foam sheet constituted of a 4-methyl-1-pentene-based polymer, in which the difference in Shore A hardness of at least one surface at different times is defined. A further aspect relates to a complex including a foam body constituted of a 4-methyl-1-pentene-based polymer and a member which is bonded to the foam body and is different from the foam body.
