Abstract: A sulfonate-based grease composition and method of manufacture comprising (1) addition of both overbased calcium sulfonate and overbased magnesium sulfonate in a ratio range of 60:40 to 100:1, with the magnesium sulfonate added all at once, a portion prior to conversion and another portion after conversion, and/or one more delay periods between the addition of water or other reactive ingredient and the addition of magnesium sulfonate; (2) one or more delay periods between the addition of at least a portion of a facilitating acid and at least a portion of the next subsequently added ingredient; (3) no conventional non-aqueous converting agents added prior to conversion; or (4) a combination thereof. The grease has a high dropping point and reduced thickener yield.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of pretreatment of a metallic substrate for a subsequent metal cold forming process. The method includes at least steps (1) and (2), namely providing at least one substrate having at least one surface at least partially made of at least one metal (step (1)), contacting the at least one surface of the substrate provided in step (1) with an aqueous lubricant composition (B) (step (2)), where the aqueous lubricant composition (B) includes besides water at least constituents (b1) to (b4) and optionally (b5).
Further disclosed herein are a pretreated metallic substrate obtained by the method, a method of cold forming of a metallic substrate, and an aqueous lubricant composition (B).-

Abstract: The present invention provides a water/glycol-based hydraulic fluid that includes a total fatty acid and dimer acid of more than 0.4 and no more than 1.2 mass % as a fatty acid lubricant, and also a phosphate ester at between 0.01 and 0.07 mass %. The phosphate ester has the following structure (1) here R1 and R2 each represent a hydrogen atom or a hydrogen group with a carbon number between 1 and 30, and may either be mutually identical or mutually different; R3 represents a hydrocarbon group with a carbon number between 1 and 20; R4 represents a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group with a carbon number between 1 and 30; and X1, X2, X3, and X4 each indicate an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, where these may either be mutually identical or mutually different.

Abstract: A rubber friendly lubricant composition adapted for lubricating the cable in a greaseless down hole logging process including a general formulation: polypropylene glycol, poly alkylene glycol; amine borate; 1,3,4-Thiadiazolidine-2,5-dithione, disodium salt; and, deionized water. The lubricant being compatible with seals and rubbers, and other related materials, used on trucks and other oil field vehicles and equipment. Being water soluble, the lubricant also presents a low potential for fire risk, and is considered environmentally friendly. The lubricant also exhibiting superior freeze properties.

Abstract: A super-lubricity water lubricating additive, a super-lubricity water lubricant, a preparation method and application, wherein the additive is of a hollow spherical shell structure which includes at least one layer of spherical shell; the spherical shell sequentially includes a first polydopamine layer, a nanoparticle layer, a second polydopamine layer and an oxidized graphene layer from inside to outside, or a first polydopamine layer, a nanoparticle layer, a second polydopamine layer, a graphene layer and a third polydopamine layer from inside to outside; and nanoparticles of the nanoparticle layer are nano diamond, nano molybdenum disulfide or nano tungsten disulfide. The additive is prepared into a uniform aqueous solution to obtain the super-lubricity water lubricant. The additive can be easily adsorbed on a dual surface, and the nanoparticles released in a friction process cooperate with spherical oxidized graphene or graphene to form rolling friction so as to reduce frictional abrasion.

Abstract: An apparatus for increasing gas components in a fluid uses a controller connected to a network and client device for remote control of fluid flow rates, magnet field intensity, and pressure of fluid based on preset parameters. Conductive wire coiled around a magnet fluid treatment device generates a bidirectional magnetic flux to magnetically treat fluid in the conduit at an entry pressure. A variable frequency generator energizes the wire creating magnetic flux lines to pass through the fluid flow conduit. A gas injector receives fluid at the gas injector entry pressure and lowers the gas injector entry pressure of the fluid to a gas injector discharge pressure. A treatment chamber receives the fluid at a treatment chamber entry pressure and lowers the treatment chamber entry pressure to a treatment chamber discharge pressure. The apparatus causes absorption of increased gas component into the fluid by from 10% to at least 500%.
