Abstract:
A power supply and circuitry system for powering HVPT devices includes a power supply circuit that selectively provides an operating power and a simmer power to multiple HVPT devices. The system also includes a trigger circuit for each respective HVPT device that selectively couples the power supply circuit to one HVPT device to provide the operating power thereto. The system also includes a simmer control circuit for selectively coupling the power supply circuit to the HVPT devices to provide the simmer power thereto, the simmer control circuit further including a simmer switch circuit for each HVPT device, wherein each simmer switch circuit comprises an input coupled to the power supply circuit to receive the simmer power therefrom and an output coupled to one HVPT device. The simmer control circuit also further includes a simmer drive circuit coupled to each simmer switch circuit for selectively enabling the simmer switch circuits.
Abstract:
Power fuses having filler material including hydrated zeolite material facilitates increasing power density of electrical fuses in reduced package sizes. The hydrated zeolite material releases water to cool and suppress electrical arcing conditions experienced in higher power circuitry.
Abstract:
A repositionable junction box is disclosed. The repositionable junction box can include a base comprising at least one wall that forms a cavity. The repositionable junction box can also include a coupling portion extending from the at least one wall, where the coupling portion can include at least one first coupling feature disposed at a distal end of the coupling portion, where the at least one first coupling feature is configured to mechanically couple to a first complementary coupling feature of a plurality of first complementary coupling features disposed on a frame.
Abstract:
Electrochemical energy storage devices such as electric double layer capacitors include flexible metal contact current collectors establishing electrical contact with a conductive housing and a conductive cover. The flexible current collector simplifies manufacturing of the device and avoids laser welding on the conductive housing. The manufacture devices are operable with a reduced direct current resistance by virtue of the flexible current collector.
Abstract:
Present embodiments provide a light fixture having rotatable light modules and an extendable hinged mounting assembly. The light modules are electrically coupled to the light fixture via a cord and a grommet/bracket feature which provides strain relief and a waterproof barrier. The extendable hinged mounting assembly allows the light fixture to be mounted onto a ceiling or other structure while providing a mounted position and an install position.

Abstract:
A twist-locking fitting for securing a strut to a rod includes first and second fitting pieces. Each fitting piece includes a half-nut portion having an interior surface defining an axis extending through first and second axial ends of the half-nut portion. Each fitting piece includes an outer flange extending outward from adjacent the first axial end of the half-nut portion and an inner flange extending outward from adjacent the second axial end of the half-nut portion. The inner flange is spaced axially apart from the outer flange to define a clearance gap. The fitting pieces are positionable on the strut in an unsecured position in which the fitting pieces are movable relative to one another. The fitting pieces are rotatable relative to the strut to move from the unsecured position to a secured position, in which the fitting pieces are fixed relative to one another on the strut.
Abstract:
A surface mount swing-type inductor component is configured to establish a non-uniform gap when assembled. The non-uniform gap produces swing-type inductor functionality in a compact package for higher current applications while being manufacturable at relatively low cost.
Abstract:
A light fixture is provided with a heating element. The heating element can be a resistive heating element, such as a Nichrome wire, and resides in grooves of a cover (e.g., a glass globe) of the light fixture. Thus, the heating element acts to directly heat the cover of the light fixture to prevent, decrease, or otherwise correct frosting, freezing, and other elemental effects on the cover when it is exposed to the environment. The heating element is capable of raising the temperature of the cover at least 15° C. from an initial temperature of −20° C. in 30 minutes. A heat sensing element may provide feedback regarding the temperature of the cover for controlling power supplied to the heating element.
