    Abstract: The invention concerns a vane cell machine with a stator and a rotor having radially displaceable vanes arranged in guides, said vanes bearing on an inside of the stator and bordering, together with the rotor, the stator and a side wall, work chambers at each axial end of the rotor. It is endeavoured to provide a vane cell machine that has a good internal tightness, in which the wear is still kept small. For this purpose, in a radially internal area the side wall comprises an insert that is axially movable in the side wall and has a pressure application surface axially inside and axially outside.

    Abstract: The invention concerns a fail-safe valve having a valve element, and a control motor being connected with the valve element via a driveline. It is endeavoured to ensure the tightness of the refrigeration system in a simple manner.     Abstract: A method for monitoring a refrigerant charge in a vapour compression system (1) is disclosed, the vapour compression system (1) including a compressor unit (2), a heat rejecting heat exchanger (3), a high pressure expansion device (4), a receiver (5), at least one expansion device (9, 10), and at least one evaporator (11, 12) arranged in a refrigerant path. A change in net mass flow into or out of the receiver (5) and/or a change in net enthalpy flow into or out of the receiver (5) is detected, and a pressure inside the receiver (5) is monitored as a function of time, following the detected change in net mass flow and/or in net enthalpy flow. A time constant being representative for dynamics of the receiver (5) is derived, based on the monitored pressure as a function of time, and information regarding a refrigerant charge in the vapour compression system (1) is derived, based on the derived time constant.

A cross-correlation analysis of the plurality of signal snippets (201, 202, 203, 204, 205) is performed for identifying a potential fault state of the rotating machine. The disclosure further discloses a rotating machine configured for energy transfer having a plurality of subsystems, each subsystem including one cylinder, is provided, wherein the rotating machine further includes a control unit adapted to perform a method according the disclosure.
