    Abstract: A method for determining a Quality of Experience associated with a real-time communication session between user devices includes monitoring the real-time communication session and determining at least one quality indicator of the Quality of Experience, at least one first performance indicator of a Quality of Service, and at least one second performance indicator of the Quality of Service. Based on the quality indicator and the first performance indicator, the method determines, among a family of correlation functions indicative of the correlation between the Quality of Experience and a Quality of Service in respect of a generic real-time communication session, a correlation function which is indicative of the correlation between the Quality of Experience and the Quality of Service in respect of the monitored real-time communication session. Then the method applies the first performance indicator and the second performance indicator to the correlation function to determine said Quality of Experience.

    Abstract: A method for delivering to a user, through a mobile communication network, a dedicated service restricted to an access-controlled service area includes, upon detection of an access of the user into the access-controlled service area by an access control system, controlling accesses of users to the access-controlled service area, identifying a connectable device associated with the user. The connectable device is connected to the mobile communication network. Then a position of the connectable device is determined. If, based on the position of the connectable device, the connectable device is within the access-controlled service area, the dedicated service is delivered to the user by, providing, through the mobile communication network, one or more digital contents to the connectable device.

    Abstract: A method for a wireless network, including a node and a first device covered by the node, the node acting as serving node for the first device, and the first device transmitting first data to the node over a first link, includes determining presence of a second device covered by the node, the second device transmitting second data to a serving node over a second link, determining radio quality of the first link, determining radio quality of the second link, and determining radio quality of a third link between the second device and the first device. If the radio quality of the third link is higher than the radio quality of the second link, the second device transmits the second data to the first device over the third link and the first device retransmits, over the first link, the second data to the node.

    Abstract: It is disclosed a method for enabling a performance measurement in a packet-switched communication network. A first node and a second node exchange packets comprising a marking value, which they alternately switch between two alternative marking values. The second node in particular switches the marking value applicable to the packets addressed to the other node depending on the marking value comprised in packets received therefrom. The first node writes a sampling value in one packet addressed to the second node for each marking period. Upon reception of each packet comprising the sampling value, the second node copies the sampling value in a packet addressed to the first node. One or more measurement points may be provided between the two nodes, which provide performance parameters for the packets comprising the sampling value in both directions. Such performance parameters may be used for providing round trip time measurements.

    Abstract: A method for exchanging packets between two nodes of a packet-switched communication network. Each packet comprises a marking field and a reflected marking field. Each node sets the value of the marking field in its outgoing packets to be transmitted to the other node. This value is alternately switched between two alternative marking values every N outgoing packets. While incoming packets are received from the other node, each node also sets the value of the reflected marking field of its outgoing packets according to the value of the marking field of the incoming packets. An observer placed between the two nodes may count the packets whose marking field is equal to any of the marking values and/or the packets whose reflected marking field is equal to any of the marking values, and use N and such counts to provide a packet loss measurement.

    Abstract: A system for managing QoS provided to user equipment included in an unmanned autonomous vehicle (UAV) by a wireless communication system comprising base stations, each providing radio coverage over a corresponding cell. The system comprises one or more computing devices to execute: a setup module to receive data identifying a predetermined path, and send a request of allocating dedicated radio resources for wireless links, the requested dedicated radio resources being expected sufficient to guarantee a QoS not lower than a predefined QoS value, and a QoS verify module to receive QoS data indicative of measured QoS and position data indicative of an actual position of the UAV during traveling, and verify whether the QoS actually during travelling is not lower than the predefined QoS value of the received QoS data and verify whether an actual path followed by the UAV corresponds to the predetermined path of the received position data.

    Abstract: A method for authorizing automatic login of a user to a reserved area of an information resource includes, at a first user device, connecting to a web server for retrieving the information resource, and sending to an authentication server an identifier of the information resource and an identifier of the user. At the authentication server, based on the identifiers of the information resource and of the user, an authorization request is sent to a second user device associated with the user, and which stores access credentials for logging in the reserved area. At the second user device, the user is notified of the authorization request, and upon confirmation of the authorization request by the user on the second user device, access credentials are made available to the web server. At the web server, automatic login to the reserved area is performed based on the access credentials.

    Abstract: A method for managing a full duplex mobile telecommunication network, includes measuring power of uplink and down link transmission from adjacent base stations and a user equipment, respectively. The method also includes comparing the measured powers of the uplink and downlink transmission, and if the power of the uplink transmission is lower than the power of the downlink transmission, the base station allocates dedicated uplink resources to the uplink transmission. The dedicated uplink resources are radio resources reserved only for uplink transmissions and are not usable for downlink transmissions. The dedicated uplink resources are assigned to the user equipment.
