Abstract:
Transmural subsurface interrogation and ablation apparatus and methods are described where tissue to be ablated is monitored while under direct visualization for tissue parameters (e.g., temperature and impedance) prior to, during, or after ablation. Such a system may include a deployment catheter and an attached imaging hood deployable into an expanded configuration. In use, the imaging hood is placed against or adjacent to the tissue to be imaged in a body lumen that is normally filled with an opaque bodily fluid such as blood. A translucent or transparent fluid can be pumped into the imaging hood until the fluid displaces any blood leaving a clear region of tissue to be imaged via an imaging element in the deployment catheter. An ablation probe and one or more interrogation needles having sensors are advanced into the tissue to be ablated and monitored. Alternatively, a combined ablation and interrogation probe may be used.
Abstract:
A panel filter frame and panel filter are provided. The panel filter frame is made from a one-piece die-cut blank of material. The die-cut blank includes a grill portion, four sidewall portions and four flap portions all integrally connected. Individual sidewall portions are interposed between a side of the grill portion and one of the four flap portions. The plurality of portions of the die-cut blank are interconnected at fold lines. The frame is formed when the die-cut blank is folded about the fold lines and the portions are secured in the folded position by at least a plurality of interlock receptacles formed in the terminating folded portion of the die-cut blank.
Abstract:
A broadband terrestrial message delivery system includes a plurality of wireless communication devices (WCDs), each including a receiver and transmitter, the WCDs capable of not only receiving messages destined for a subscriber associated with a particular WCD, but further capable of acting as a relay point to move messages to and from other subscribers. Message diffusion includes relaying the messages in accordance with all earmark that specifies both the total number of times (N) a message is to be repeated, and the number of times (i) the received message has already been repeated. Methods of improving the spectral efficiency of such a message diffusion architecture include adding a propagation ring width control parameter (J) to the earmark such that a WCD acting in relay mode transmits no more than J repetitions of the message; and providing sectorization such that several sectorized message pathways in a cell may be simultaneously active.
Abstract:
A ground handling system for an airship which comprises a first track system to allow a plurality of docking carts to move from a hangar to a weathervane/launching/landing ring R. The docking carts are configured to complete a second track system. Carried by each of the docking carts is a mooring cart that carries a mooring structure. Upon the completion of the second track system by each of the docking carts, the mooring carts are able to move about the second track system. Thereby allowing the airship to be oriented in a desired manner to facilitate its launch or landing.
Abstract:
An quantitative ZAP-70 assay is provided, with ZAP-70+ and ZAP-70− controls, normal human blood controls, an improved antibody with better signal to noise ratio, and using the median MEFL that is calibrated using a standard curve.
Abstract:
A method and system deploys software modules for on-street traffic control computers by selectively unlocking preloaded modules of the software. A host firm builds or acquires the on-street traffic control computers and preloads locked versions of software modules provided by a software partner firm. When a customer wishes to purchase a license to run a particular module, the customer provides the host firm with identifiers for the particular computer and the particular software module, and the host firm responds with a license number that is useable to unlock the module. The customer makes a payment to the host firm, and the host firm makes a slightly smaller payment to the software partner. The host firm is thereby motivated to accommodate the customer and the software partner.
Abstract:
Multi-participant online activities are described. In one or more implementations, a protocol is described which ties an online activity (e.g., an online game) to an instant messaging infrastructure. For example, an online game may leverage the instant messaging infrastructure to form rosters of participants for participation in the online game, Once the roster is formed, the instant messaging infrastructure may further manage the presence of the participants in the online activity, such as which users join and cease participation in the online activity and notify other users of these changes. Further, the state of participation in the online activity may be stored such that the users may continue between sessions.
Abstract:
The present invention provides alfalfa varieties which contain enhanced pectin content and methods of use of same. These varieties may be used to produce inbreds or hybrids or to produce food or feed products. Parts of these plants, including plant cells, are also provided.
