    Abstract: Methods, computer program products, and apparatuses for network slices based on master cell group (MCG) or secondary cell group (SCG) configurations are provided. An example method may include transmitting, to a base station, a registration request comprising first single network slice selection assistance information (S-NSSAI) associated with a first network slice and second S-NSSAI associated with a second network slice. The method may include receiving, from the base station, a registration accept message associated with the first network slice and the second network slice. The first network slice may be associated with a first priority higher than a second priority associated with the second network slice. The first network slice may be served by an MCG and the second network slice may be served by an SCG. The method may include initiating a first inactivity timer for the MCG and a second inactivity timer for the SCG.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a misalignment between system frame numbers (SFNs) associated with multiple serving cells in an asynchronous carrier aggregation configuration. The UE may select an SFN to use as an input for calculating a transmission parameter associated with communicating with one or more of the serving cells. Additionally, the serving cells may identify which SFN the UE selects in order to communicate efficiently with the UE. In some examples, the UE may receive an explicit indication of which SFN to use, and select the SFN accordingly. In other examples, the UE may select which SFN to use based on one or more parameters associated with the serving cells in the asynchronous carrier aggregation configuration.

    Abstract: Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently identifying a lower layer configuration for communicating in a dual connectivity mode after transitioning from an inactive state to a connected state. To efficiently identify the lower layer configuration, a UE operating in a dual connectivity mode may perform measurements on signals received from a master node, a secondary node, and other nearby nodes in an inactive state. Once the UE decides to transition back to a connected state, the UE may report the measurements and restore an original lower layer configoration used to communicate in a dual connectivity mode. The UE may then receive an indication of an updated lower layer configuration as an offset of the original lower layer configuration, where the updated lower layer configuration may be based on the reported measurements.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide signaling formats to cause a UE to switch to an active BWP in a secondary cell (SCell) secondary cell group (SCG). The techniques may be used when the UE is connected to a secondary node on a dormant BWP such that the UE connects to the secondary node on the active BWP. The UE may receive, from a master node, downlink control information (DCI) indicating a transition to an active BWP for the communication link with the secondary node. The UE may then perform a communication with the secondary node on the active bandwidth part in accordance with the DCI. The DCI may include SCell or SCG bitmaps, extra bits that signal to the UE that an activation corresponds to a SCG, and/or RNTIs that signal to the UE that the activation corresponds to a SCG.
