    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may apply a scaling factor to a transport block of a first size, where the scaling factor may increase the transport block from the first size to a second size. The base station may interleave a set of parts of the transport block of the second size across a set of transmission time intervals (TTIs) in accordance with a transport block allocation pattern, where the set of TTIs may be contiguous or separated from each other by one or more intervening intervals. The base station may transmit, to a user equipment, an indication of the transport block allocation pattern applied to the transport block of the second size, and may transmit the set of parts of the transport block of the second size across the set of TTIs in accordance with the transport block allocation pattern.

    Abstract: A base station may transmit a multicast transmission to a group of user equipments (UEs) that are each configured with a group radio network temporary identifier (G-RNTI). The UEs may be configured to receive the transmission using the same modulation and coding scheme (MCS) and transport block size (TBS) such that the group of UEs may receive the same transmission. In particular, a UE may receive one or more configurations for multicast transmissions, each configuration associated with a G-RNTI. The UE may determine a MCS table for the G-RNTI. The UE may determine a TBS for a multicast transmission based on an overhead value for the G-RNTI. The UE may receive the multicast transmission based on the MCS table and the TBS.

In some aspects, a receiver may identify a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process, from one or more HARQ processes configured for a delay-constrained time cycle, for a data communication received from a transmitter in the delay-constrained time cycle. A quantity of the one or more HARQ processes may be based at least in part on a quantity of data communications that the receiver is to receive from a transmitter during the delay-constrained time cycle. The receiver may transmit, to the transmitter and based at least in part on the data communication, HARQ feedback associated with the HARQ process. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described, in which temporary reference signals may be configured for use in secondary cell (SCell) activation. A user equipment (UE) may perform wireless communications with a first serving cell supported by a base station, and may receive an indication that a SCell is to be activated. As a result of activation of the SCell, the UE may perform one or more measurements on a reference signal of the SCell that is being activated. The one or more measurements may be performed on a temporary reference signal of the SCell that has one or more parameters that are indicated to the UE with the SCell activation information. The one or more parameter may be indicated by downlink control information (DCI), one or more medium access control (MAC) control elements, implicit signaling, or any combinations thereof.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to enable a user equipment (UE) to bundle reference signals, such as demodulation reference signals (DMRSs), by maintaining one or more coherence properties across DMRSs. A base station may transmit an indication of a DMRS bundling configuration to the UE, and the UE may transmit a DMRS bundling capability indication to the base station. The base station may transmit DCI to the UE, and the UE may determine whether to maintain or alter DMRS bundling (for example, maintain or alter one or more coherence properties) for one or more physical shared channels based on the DCI. The UE may maintain or alter one or more coherence properties of the one or more physical shared channels based on determining whether to maintain DMRS bundling and may transmit the one or more physical shared channels and associated DMRSs to the base station.
