    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for quasi-colocation (QCL) assumptions, such as QCL assumptions for combined single-DCI (downlink control information) and multi-DCI mTRP (multiple transmission reception point) scenarios. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving signaling configuring the UE with a first index value associated with a first plurality of control resource sets (CORESETS) and a second index value associated with a second plurality of CORESETS. The UE may receive at least one medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) that activates a set of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states, indicates one of the first or second index values, and that maps at least one TCI codepoint in downlink control information (DCI) to two TCI states. The UE may determine one or more TCI states to use for receiving one or more transmissions based, at least in part, on the mapping.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a capability report to a base station indicating a triggering offset. The base station may configure the UE with one or more channel state information (CSI) measurement resources and send downlink control information (DCI) that triggers an aperiodic CSI report for some of the CSI measurement resources. The UE may report CSI by measuring the CSI resources after the triggering offset. In some cases, CSI reporting related to the different codebook types (e. g., Type I, Type II) may be modified, where after identifying a type of codebook and determining which type of codebook to process (e. g., based on a number of CSI processing units), the UE may identify a priority associated with different CSI reports. The UE may be configured with various parameters that relax or modify the processing of Type II CSI reports.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for a configurable mode for a response to random access message. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving an indication from a base station (BS) that the BS operates according to a first mode in which the BS unicasts a RACH response during a two-step RACH procedure or a second mode in which the BS multicasts the RACH response. The RACH response includes a PDCCH and PDSCH. The UE sends a RACH message to the BS comprising a preamble and payload. The UE monitors and decodes the PDCCH of the RACH response based on the indicated first mode or second mode. The UE decodes the PDSCH of the RACH response and sends feedback to the BS based on the indicated first mode or second mode.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) procedure for the random access channel (RACH) response message in a two-step RACH procedure. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes sending a RACH message to a base station (BS) during a two-step RACH procedure. The RACH message includes a RACH preamble and a RACH payload. The UE monitors a RACH response message from the BS during a random access response (RAR) window. The UE transmits a retransmission of the RACH message, an acknowledgement (ACK) to the RACH response message, a negative acknowledgment (NACK) to the RACH response message, or does not transmit, to the BS based on whether a RACH response message carrying a success RAR or a fallback RAR, or no RACH response message, is received from the BS during the window.
