Abstract:
Disclosed are coupling devices for joining and connecting pipes. The pipe coupling devices comprise a housing formed with a penetrating hole therein to connect pipes, covers fastened to the housing, and compression elements coupled to the respective covers to compress the outer circumferential surfaces of the pipes and hermetically fix the pipes to the housing.
Abstract:
The press fitting (10) for a pipe, in particular a plastic pipe or a pipe made of a plastic/metal composite material, is provided with a fitting element (12) which comprises a supporting element (16) onto which a pipe (20) to be connected can be pushed. Furthermore, the press fitting (10) comprises a compression sleeve (30) which has a holding end (34) on which the compression sleeve (30) is held on the fitting element (12). On its circumferential surface the compression sleeve (30) has a compression region (66) adjoining the holding end (34), in which region a pressing tool (62) acts on the compression sleeve (30) during the compression thereof. The compression sleeve (30) is provided at its holding end (34) with edge cutouts (36) which are open towards the end face (38) of the compression sleeve (30) and which each have a bounding edge section (40) situated opposite the end face (38) of the compression sleeve (30). A plastic ring (52) is situated on the outside of the compression sleeve (30) and is secured thereon against movements in the axial direction of the compression sleeve (30), wherein the plastic ring (52) has at least one axial projection (64) which extends right into the compression region (66) of the compression sleeve (30) and which can be destroyed when the pressing tool (62) acts on the compression sleeve (30) and/or is secured so that it can be separated from the plastic ring (52).
Abstract:
A device for sealingly linking two end pieces (24) of a fluid line system, comprises a casing part (1) and an inner part (13). The inner part (13) is arranged in a prefabricated arrangement within the casing part (1) in an axially displaceable manner and serves to fixate a sealing unit (21) that is detachably linked with the inner part (13) until an end piece (25) is inserted into the casing part (1) via an introduction area (3) and comes into contact with the inner part (13). When the end piece (25) is inserted, the inner part (13) is axially expelled from the casing part (1), whereby the sealing unit (21) is inhibited in its axial movement by an abutment (12) and remains within the casing part (1). The two end pieces can be sealingly linked while indicating the relative position of the end piece (25) coming into contact with the inner part (13) without requiring a separate handling of the sealing unit (21).
Abstract:
A self-bonding coupling assembly includes first and second portions operably connected by a hinge at a first end. The hinge preferably includes first and second hinge mechanisms that operate independently of one another. The coupling assembly also includes a fastening mechanism that releasably fastens the first coupling portion to the second coupling portion at a second end. The fastening mechanism uses extended portions provided on the first and second coupling portions to fasten the first and second coupling portions. The fastening mechanism includes first and second locking mechanisms. The first and second locking mechanisms include a latch that fastens the first and second coupling portions. The coupling assembly may also include a bonding mechanism and an indicator latch.
Abstract:
A tube fitting includes a fitting body and a fitting member for receiving an end of a tube. The fitting member is movable relative to the fitting body between a first position and a second position. The fitting member and the fitting body cooperate to provide an audible indication of movement between the first position and the second position.
Abstract:
A connecting portion of a quick connector is provided with a pair of stop arms. Each of the stop arms has an arm body that integrally includes an overhanging stop portion and an engaging pawl on a leading end portion thereof. The connecting portion is inserted in a connecting hole formed in a fluid line component until the engaging pawl engages with an outwardly directed engaging projection of a mounting portion that is provided on an opening portion of the connecting hole. A checker has a main body that is provided integrally with verifying portions. Each of the verifying portions is formed with a receiving recessed portion for accommodating the overhanging stop portion therein when the checker is disposed on an outer circumference of the mounting portion.
Abstract:
A method is provided for determining the robustness of a tubular assembly in a fluid flow assembly for a hydraulic system and predicting the performance of the endform tubular assembly in high pressure applications, wherein the tubular assembly has inherent features therein that are measured to provide quantified values for assessing the robustness of the assembly and predict the performance of such assembly in high pressure applications for prolonged periods of time.
Abstract:
An engagement protrusion is formed in square in cross-section integrally on an outer surface of a main body of a retainer, and is provided on a position opposed to a space for deformation so as to extend from an opposite axial end to short of an axial center of the main body of the retainer. An engagement recess is formed generally identical in cross-section to the engagement protrusion on an inner peripheral surface of a retainer holding portion so as to extend from an opposite axial end of the retainer holding portion to one axial end of a raised portion. The retainer is fitted in the retainer holding portion so that the engagement protrusion is inserted in the engagement recess.
Abstract:
A press-fitting includes a body, a jacket, a seal ring and a plastic check ring. The plastic check ring has an annular convex portion, one end of the jacket has an inward wall for clamping with the inner hook, the body has a seal groove and a serrated groove with fillets on its core portion. The seal ring is disposed in the seal groove with the outer diameter of the seal ring being smaller than or equal to the outer diameter of the core portion. The press-fitting according to the present invention is of simple structure, and is convenient and quick to be assembled, and can be inspected, and is safe on seal coupling.
Abstract:
A connector for use in a system for flowing fluid, having at least one cup-shaped female part (1), in which an adapted male part (8) on another connector is intended to be sealingly and securely mounted, wherein the female part (1) has integral longitudinal locking tangs (2) which have their free ends pointing in the direction of insertion of a male part (8) into the female part, the free ends of the locking tangs projecting into the space in the female part for engaging with a male part, and wherein the locking tangs (2) having engaging means (4, 15) which can be used by a tool to urge the locking tangs (2) apart so that the male part (8) and the female part (1) can be disengaged from one another. The engaging means (4, 15) may be holes or recesses, or alternatively projections or lugs.
