Abstract: A beverage dispensing device dispenses different types of beverages or beverage components. At least one type of beverage is a malt based beverage or beverage component. The dispensing device has multiple supply lines each extending from a corresponding supply source and having a controllable supply line valve as well as a controlling device for sequentially setting the controllable supply line valves. A beverage dispensing device contains multiple beverages or beverage components to be dispensed into a receptacle after every sequence step has been executed and during a single tapping cycle.

Abstract: A process of preparing a malt-based beverage includes at least two flavour components A and B in a weight ratio A/B of Xfinal.The method includes the following steps. Brewing and fermenting a wort is performed to obtain a fermented malt-based beverage having at least two water-soluble components A and B, other than alcohol or water, in a weight ratio A/B of X1>Xfinal. Then, adjusting the weight ratio of A/B at concentrating said fermented malt-based beverage by removal of water therefrom to obtain a concentrated malt-based beverage having a weight ration A/B of Xfinal occurs. The ratio A/B of X1 is determined in anticipation of adjusting the amount of component A in the beverage during concentrating.

Abstract: A method for securing a tamper evident closure to a container includes providing a pre-threaded closure that is defined by a top portion and a skirt portion that extends from the top portion. The skirt portion defines an inner closure thread surface and an opposed outer closure thread surface of at least one closure thread. The skirt portion also includes a tamper evident band. The pre-threaded closure is rotated to engage the at least one closure thread with at least one container thread of a container. The inner closure thread surface contacts a surface of the at least one container thread. The tamper evident band of the pre-threaded closure is rolled to secure the tamper evident band to the container.

Abstract: A beverage dispensing device includes a container for a liquid beverage to be dispensed, a beverage dispensing line, and a gas line. A keg connector connects the keg interior with the dispensing and gas lines by coupling the keg connector to a container closure. A storing compartment receives at least two containers. An elongated tapping column is fixed to the top plate and provided with a tapping valve element. The receiving device has at least two containers permits container storage in a dispensing position with its longitudinal axis forming a storing angle of ±30° with respect to the top plane. The keg connector has a height measured along the longitudinal axis between the container's bottom end, and the furthest point of the keg connector coupled to the closure of the connector is not more than 5% greater than the height of the container without keg connector.

Abstract: A can for containing a liquid having a top end is disclosed. The top end has a dispense area defined by a first score line and a pull tab coupled to the top end by a rivet. The pull tab has a puncturing end for breaking the first score line and pushing into the interior of the can without detaching the dispense area to open a dispense aperture. A vent area is defined by a second score line and positioned on the opposite side of the rivet. The first and second score lines are separated by at least one torsion stripe of the can top material for acting as a hinge by torsion upon lifting the actuating end of the pull tab. As the dispense aperture is opened by pushing the dispense area into the interior of the can, a vent aperture is opened by pulling the vent area outwards.

Abstract: The invention is an integrally blow-moulded bag-in-container and preform for making it. The bag-in-container has an inner layer forming the bag and an outer layer forming the container, and a mouth fluidly connecting the volume defined by the bag to the atmosphere. The container further has at least one interface vent fluidly connecting the interface between inner and outer layers to the atmosphere, wherein the at least one vent runs parallel to the interface between inner and outer layers and opens to the atmosphere at a location adjacent to, and oriented coaxially with the bag-in-container's mouth. Processes for manufacturing a preform and a bag-in-container as defined above are defined too.
