    Abstract: A processor causes, when the number of initial insertion sheets is one or more, an insertion conveying portion and a takeover conveying portion to operate at either one of a conveying speed that is the same as a print conveying speed corresponding to a first recording sheet and a reference conveying speed according to a magnitude relationship between the number of initial insertion sheets and an initial sheet count in conveyance of the initial insertion sheets. In addition, the processor causes a body conveying portion and the takeover conveying portion to operate at the corresponding print conveying speed in conveyance of the recording sheet irrespective of the number of initial insertion sheets.

    Abstract: A packing fastener includes a base member and a key member. The base member includes: a first tubular portion; a flange portion provided on a first opening edge of the first tubular portion at one end; and a pair of hook members coupled to opposite inner side faces of the first tubular portion to be bent toward a second opening edge of the first tubular portion at the other end. The key member has a second tubular portion removably insertable in the first tubular portion via the first opening edge. The pair of hook members are, with no external force applied to it, arranged in a wedge shape as seen in a sectional view to be increasingly close to each other toward tip ends. An outer side face of the first tubular portion has a slope inclined inward from the first opening edge toward the second opening edge.

    Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a recording head, an endless belt, a plurality of through holes for flashing, a droplet receiver, and an anti-floating member. In the recording head, a plurality of nozzles capable of ejecting droplets onto a recording medium are arranged. The endless belt conveys the recording medium toward a position where an image is to be formed on the recording medium by the recording head. The through holes are formed in the endless belt. The droplet receiver receives flashing droplets having been ejected from the nozzles by flashing without contributing to formation of the image and having passed through the through holes. The anti-floating member prevents floating of end portions of the endless belt in a widthwise direction of the endless belt.

    Abstract: A sheet conveying device includes a drive device, a conveyance device, an optical unit, a white reference member, and a transmission device. The drive device generates a driving force. The conveyance device conveys a sheet by a rotary driving force of the drive device. The optical unit includes an image reading unit that extends in a longitudinal direction thereof along a widthwise direction orthogonal to a direction of conveyance of the sheet, applies light to the sheet, and reads light reflected from the sheet with an image sensor. The white reference member extends in the longitudinal direction of the image reading unit and is read by the image reading unit. The transmission device transmits the driving force generated by the drive device to rock the optical unit in the widthwise direction. The transmission device includes a rocking member that rocks the optical unit in a longitudinal direction thereof.

    Abstract: In a two-component developer, external additive particles of toner particles include resin particles.     Abstract: A developing device includes a developer container, a developer carrier, and a stirring/conveying member. The developer container includes: a lower housing having a first accommodating portion and a first edge portion formed in a top end portion of it; and an upper housing having a second accommodating portion and a second edge portion formed in a bottom end portion of it. The first edge portion has a depression extending along the first edge portion, a first contact face formed inward of the depression, and a first opposite face formed outward of the depression.     Abstract: A peer-to-peer network of printing devices is configured to share information and color printing resources, such as TRCs, spot colors, and ICC profiles, as well as paper catalogs within the network without the need for a centralized server or cloud service. The digital front ends (DFEs) of the printing devices manage printing device information which is made available to all printing devices. When an update occurs at a printing device within the peer-to-peer network, its DFE sends a signal to the other printing devices to synchronize their information with the updated information. When a new printing device is added to the peer-to-peer network, its information and color printing resources are merged or replaced with the information within the network.
