    Abstract: Activating an engine of a HEV to charge a battery includes obtaining a first GPS trace from a first trip of the HEV along a first route, where the first GPS trace includes first trace metadata; obtaining a second GPS trace from a second trip, where the second GPS trace includes second trace metadata; adding, to a navigation map, an aggregation of the first trace metadata and the second trace metadata for edges of the navigation map; using the navigation map to obtain an activation action of the engine, where the activation action is selected from a set that includes a first activation action of turning the engine on and a second activation action of turning the engine off; and activating the engine according to the activation action, where activating the engine using the first activation action causes the engine to turn on to charge the battery of the HEV.

    Abstract: A fuel filler lid assembly includes a fuel filler lid. The fuel filler lid is configured to be supported to a vehicle body that has a fuel filler opening. The fuel filler lid has a first part that is movable with respect to the vehicle body between an open state and a closed state. The open state enables access to the fuel filler opening. The closed state encloses the fuel filler opening. The fuel filler lid has a second part that is movable with respect to the first part as the first part moves between the open state and the closed state.

The seatbelt tensioning mechanism is supported to the floor assembly adjacent to an intersection between the floor assembly and the B-pillar. The seatbelt pre-tensioning device is positioned adjacent to the seatbelt tensioning device. The support bracket is fixed to the B-pillar and the seatbelt pre-tensioning device.

    Abstract: A vehicle door assembly include an inner door panel, a first hinge and a guard beam. The inner door panel has a first edge portion and a second edge portion. The first hinge is dimensioned and configured to attach to the first hinge attachment location of the inner door panel. The guard beam has a first end and a second end. The first end has a first fastener and a second fastener rigidly and non-movably attached thereto. The first fastener is inserted through the first opening and the second fastener extends through the second opening in the first hinge attachment location, the first and second fasteners further fastening to the first hinge thereby attaching the first hinge to the door panel.

    Abstract: A vehicle bumper assembly includes a first energy absorbing member extending in a lateral direction of a vehicle. A reinforcement member extends in the lateral direction of the vehicle and is connected to the first energy absorbing member.     Abstract: In one aspect of the present disclosure, an induction hub is disclosed for use in powering components in a vehicle. The induction hub includes a source coil; first and second receiver coils having first and second conductive portions, respectively; and at least one isolation member that is positioned between the first and second conductive portions. The receiver coils are separated from the source coil such that, upon being energized by a power source, the source coil creates an induced electromagnetic field (EMF) and an electrical current in the receiver coils, which are in electrical communication with at least one component in the vehicle to thereby deliver power from the receiver coils to the at least one component. The at least one isolation member includes a material that is electrically nonconductive and electromagnetically permeable so as to physically and electrically separate the receiver coils without impacting the induced EMF.

    Abstract: A vehicle roof structure includes a roof bow, a vibration dampening plate and a weighted member attached to the vibration dampening plate. The roof bow has a forward flange section, a rearward flange section and a central section, the central section defining a recessed area. The vibration dampening plate is installed to an upper surface of the roof bow proximate the central section. A weighted member is fixedly attached to a lower surface of the vibration dampening plate such that the weighted member is at a level above the upper surface of the recessed area of the roof bow and has a non-contacting relationship with the roof bow.
