Abstract: A fertilization design device calculates a fertilization amount of a field to be fertilized and includes the following units. A database reception unit receives one or both of growth data indicating growth potential of the field and soil data indicating plant growth potential of soil in the field and receives position data as position coordinate information for the field. A designated position reception and retrieval unit receives a freely selected position designated by a user and retrieves information of the freely selected position from the position data. A user input fertilization amount value reception unit receives a fertilization amount value freely set by the user for the freely selected position or for a range including the freely selected position. A calibration curve generation unit generates a calibration curve, based on one or both of the growth data and the soil data, the position data, and the fertilization amount value.

Abstract: A survey system includes a survey device and a target. The survey device includes a main body rotatable around a vertical axis, a telescope supported by the main body and rotatable around a horizontal axis, a wide angle imaging unit having a second angle of view wider than a first angle of view of the telescope, and a target identification unit configured to identify a target image. The target image is identified based on a differential image between a first image captured by the wide angle imaging unit during an on-period with laser light emitted from an emission unit and a second image captured during an off-period in which laser light is not emitted from the emission unit. The target image is quickly identified even when the target is significantly separated in the horizontal direction from a position directly in front of the survey device.

Abstract: In an ophthalmic examination system of one embodiment, an internal examiner terminal is used by an internal examiner in a facility where an ophthalmic examination apparatus is installed. An external examiner terminal is used by an external examiner outside the facility. A management apparatus includes a communication establishment unit, and an information transfer unit. The communication establishment unit is capable of establishing communication between at least two apparatuses selected from the ophthalmic examination apparatus, the internal examiner terminal, and the external examiner terminal. The information transfer unit is configured to transfer information sent from one of the at least two apparatuses whose communication has been established by the communication establishment unit. Each of the ophthalmic examination apparatus, the internal examiner terminal, and the external examiner terminal includes an output unit configured to output information transferred by the information transfer unit.

To achieve the above-described object, a communication management system includes a surveying instrument including a survey unit, a temperature sensor, a control unit, and a communication unit, a management server, and a remote terminal, wherein the remote terminal sets a usable temperature of the surveying instrument, sets a determination on the usable temperature and a temperature acquired by the temperature sensor, and an operation responsive to results of the determination, and makes the management server store these, the surveying instrument transmits its own temperature information to the management server, and the management server makes the determination by comparing the usable temperature and a temperature acquired by the temperature sensor, and executes the operation based on results of the determination.

Abstract: Provided is a scanner system includes a laser scanner and a remote controller thereof. The remote controller includes a guide light transmitting unit. The laser scanner directs the optical axis of distance-measuring light to the guide light transmitting unit based on a light reception signal and set a data exclusion range with reference to the direction of the guide light transmitting unit. The laser scanner remeasures point cloud data of the data exclusion range in accordance with a measurement permission from the remote controller upon measuring point cloud data of an entire measurement range, and deletes the point cloud data of the data exclusion range from the point cloud data of an entire measurement range, and replacing the deleted data with remeasured point cloud data to acquire entire point cloud data.

Abstract: Provided is a laser scanner including an electronic level unit and a scanner unit. The electronic level unit includes a telescope and a level housing and is configured to measure a height of and a distance to a leveling staff. The scanner unit includes a distance measuring unit for performing distance measurement with distance-measuring light, a turning mirror for rotating and irradiating the distance-measuring light in a vertical direction, a vertical rotation driving unit for rotating the turning mirror, and a horizontal rotation driving unit for integrally rotating the electronic level unit and the scanner unit in a horizontal direction. The scanner unit is configured to acquire an instrument height by irradiating a ground surface with the distance-measuring light while acquiring point cloud data by scanning the distance-measuring light in a measurement range. The turning mirror has a rotation axis arranged parallel to a collimation optical axis of the telescope.

Abstract: Shadows caused by opacities and obstructions (such as blood vessels) can block detection of structural information of objects below the shadow-causing structure, affecting visualization and analysis of those deeper structures. An image processing method for removing these shadows includes applying a low pass filter to an energy profile of an image to remove high frequency fluctuations in energy, thereby effectively recovering lower energy inside shadow regions and removing high frequency speckle. The image is then adjusted, for example by linear scaling, based on the filtered energy profile. Two dimensional filters may also be applied for volumes.

Abstract: A machine learning model is trained to identify the texture difference between the different layers of a multilayer object. By training with data in full 3D space, the resulting model is capable of predicting the probability that each pixel in a 3D image belongs to a certain layer. With the resulting probability map, comparing probabilities allows one to determine boundaries between layers, and/or other properties and useful information such as volume data.

Abstract: An ophthalmologic information processing apparatus analyzes an image of a subject's eye formed by arranging a plurality of A-scan images acquired by performing OCT scan on inside the subject's eye with measurement light deflected around a scan center position. The ophthalmologic information processing apparatus includes a correcting unit, a region specifying unit, and a direction specifying unit. The correcting unit is configured to transform a pixel position in the image into a transformation position along a traveling direction of the measurement light passing through the scan center position. The region specifying unit is configured to specify a predetermined layer region by analyzing the image in which the pixel position has been transformed by the correcting unit. The direction specifying unit is configured to specify a normal direction of the layer region specified by the region specifying unit.

Abstract: A crack measuring apparatus includes distance-measuring units, an image pickup unit having pixels the positions of which are identified on an imaging device, an infrared image pickup unit having pixels the positions of which are identified on an imaging device and having sensitivity to infrared rays, driving units, angle-measuring units, and an arithmetic control unit, the arithmetic control unit searches for a cracked portion from a temperature difference in an infrared image by turning the infrared image pickup unit, captures an image of the cracked portion by the image pickup unit and identifies a position of the cracked portion from a density difference in the captured image, measures the position of the cracked portion by the distance-measuring units and the angle-measuring units, and acquires three-dimensional absolute coordinates of the cracked portion.
