Abstract:
A dependable cost-effective clinical analyzer machine provides an efficient and easy-to-use diagnostics instrument and process to accurately, rapidly and automatically test and analyze samples in test packs for an analyte. In the clinical analyzer machine, remote-controlled trams transport test packs containing loading/unloading station to a processing/testing station via a carousel and vice versa. In the processing station, a special processor with mechanically-operated rollers mixing shoes, wastegate assembly, magnets, clamp plate and a thermal sealer, process samples in test packs with various reagents to detect an analyte. The carousel holds the test packs during incubation periods and rotates the tested disposable packs past an optical reader which optically senses the presence of an analyte in the sample. Bar code readers are provided to assist in identification of the test pack, patient and sample.
Abstract:
A prosthetic foot includes an ankle member, a heel member and a toe member coupled to each other for relative pivotable movement with the pivotable movement resisted by elastomeric pads. The heel and ankle member are connected through a joint allowing for translational and pivotable torsional motion of the ankle with respect to the heel and provided with limit stops in the axle and the side walls of the heel member to limit the torsional and translation motion of the ankle joint. The toe member is formed symmetrically to be used for left and right feet with symmetrically positioned and mirror imaged fore sections.
Abstract:
An advertising system that includes three embodiments wherein the embodiments are all operably to be secured to commercial trucks such as but not limited to a dump truck or a transfer box trailer. The present invention utilizes a advertising support member across all embodiments that is manufactured from a rigid material and has desired advertising logos and indicia thereon. A transfer box tailgate embodiment is provided wherein this embodiment is configured to be releasably secured to a transfer box tailgate. Another embodiment provided in the present invention is a tarp rack embodiment wherein this embodiment is configured to secured to the rear of a transfer box trailer equipped with a tarp. A dump truck tailgate embodiment is provided wherein this embodiment releasably secures over the top edge of a tailgate of a conventional tailgate. The embodiments include locking members to inhibit unauthorized removal of the advertising support member.
Abstract:
The subject disclosure is directed towards enriching database query responses using data from external data sources. When processing a database query seeking enriched data from an external data source, a request is communicated to the external data source based on the database query. An enriched database query response is generated based on data provided by the external data source. The enriched database query response may be combined with data returned via an internal database query operation, and/or inserted into a local database table.
Abstract:
An instrument including a grip portion, a first substantially rigid extension arm projecting outwardly from the grip portion along a first longitudinal axis, and a second substantially rigid extension arm projecting outwardly from the grip portion along a second longitudinal axis. The first has a straight portion adjacent the grip portion that lies substantially within a first plane, and a distal portion extending from the straight portion to a first distal end along a length of which the first extension arm extends upward relative to the first plane and rotates about its first longitudinal axis. The second has a second straight portion adjacent the grip portion that lies substantially within the first plane, and a second distal portion extending from the straight portion to a second distal end along a length of which the second extension arms extends downward relative to the first plane and rotates about its longitudinal axis.
Abstract:
The invention generally relates to generating a display having graphical and/or media components at a client. In one aspect, a method for generating a graphical display at a client includes transmitting output from an application program executing on a server to the client, identifying a non-textual element within the application output, retrieving a compressed data format associated with the non-textual element, and transmitting to the client the compressed data format in place of the non-textual element. In another aspect, a method for generating a media presentation at a client includes transmitting output from an application program executing on a server to the client, identifying a media stream within the application output, intercepting an original compressed data set representing at least a portion of the media stream before processing by the application program, and transmitting the original compressed data set to the client.
Abstract:
A control console to remotely control medical equipment is disclosed having a base with an ergonomically adjustable pedal system. The base further has an opening to receive the pedal system. The pedal system includes a moveable pedal tray with a pedal base. The tray includes a first left pedal assembly and a first right pedal assembly, and an upper tier having a second left pedal assembly and a second right pedal assembly respectively in alignment with and elevated above the first left pedal assembly and the first right pedal assembly. Rollers are rotatable coupled to the moveable pedal tray to allow it roll over a floor. A drive assembly is coupled between the moveable pedal tray and the base. The drive assembly applies a force to the to roll the moveable pedal tray over the floor within the opening of the base.
