    Abstract: An image decoding method performed by a decoding apparatus according to the present document includes constituting a candidate list for deriving motion information of a sub-block unit for a current block, wherein the merge candidate list includes constructed candidates; deriving control point motion vectors (CPMVs) for control points (CPs) of the current block based on the merge candidate list; deriving prediction samples for the current block based on the CPMVs; and generating a reconstructed picture for the current block based on the derived prediction samples, wherein the constructed candidates are derived based on combination of at least two of a first neighboring block in a first group, a second neighboring block in a second group, a third neighboring block in a third group and a fourth neighboring block, and the first neighboring block, the second neighboring block and the third neighboring block and the fourth neighboring block constituting the combination have the same reference picture index.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method by which a decoding apparatus performs video coding, comprising the steps of: generating a motion information candidate list for a current block; selecting one candidate from among those included in the motion information candidate list; deriving control point motion vectors (CPMVs) of the current block based on the selected candidate; deriving sub-block-unit or sample-unit motion vectors of the current block based on the CPMVs; deriving a predicted block based on the motion vectors; and reconstructing a current picture based on the predicted block, wherein the motion information candidate list includes an inherited affine candidate, the inherited affine candidate is derived based on candidate blocks coded by affine prediction, from among spatial neighboring blocks of the current block, and the inherited affine candidate is generated up to a pre-defined maximum number.

    Abstract: Disclosed are a method for processing a video signal by using an affine motion prediction and an apparatus thereof. A method for processing a video signal according to the present disclosure may include: adding, to an affine candidate list, an affine coded block coded in an affine prediction mode among neighbor blocks of a current block; obtaining a syntax element indicating a candidate used for the affine motion prediction of the current block in the affine candidate list; deriving a control point motion vector predictor of the current block based on an affine motion model of the candidate indicated by the syntax element; deriving a control point motion vector of the current block by adding a control point motion vector difference to the control point motion vector predictor; and generating a prediction block of the current block by using the control point motion vector of the current block.
