Abstract:
Block storage arrangement and method. The block storage arrangement includes at least one container receiving space; a loading space below, in a direction of gravity, the at least one container receiving space; at least one loading vehicle, which can be moved in the loading space to a position below the at least one container receiving space, having a lifting device; and a container detecting device arranged at an upper end, in the direction of gravity, of the at least one container receiving space. A lifting movement of the lifting device is interrupted when the container detecting device detects a container passing the container detecting device.
Abstract:
A pallet building apparatus for automatically building a pallet load of pallet load article units onto a pallet support including a frame defining a pallet building base, at least one articulated robot to transport and place the pallet load article units, a controller to control articulated robot motion and effect therewith a pallet load build, at least one three-dimensional, time of flight, camera to generate three-dimensional imaging of the pallet support and pallet load build, wherein the controller registers, from the three-dimensional camera, real time three-dimensional imaging data embodying different corresponding three-dimensional images of the pallet support and pallet load build, to determine, in real time, from the corresponding real time three-dimensional imaging data, a pallet support variance or article unit variance and generate in real time an articulated robot motion signal, the articulated robot motion signal being generated real time so as to be performed real time by the at least one articulated robot between placement of at least one pallet load article unit and a serially consecutive pallet load article unit enabling substantially continuous building of the pallet load build.
Abstract:
A carriage according to the present embodiment comprises: a mounting base in which a plane for placing a freight is defined, the mounting base receiving the freight from an end part of the plane by horizontal movement; and a drop prevention part that is provided to the end part of the plane, and that prevents the freight from dropping off from the mounting base. The drop prevention part includes: a movable part that rotates about an axis along a direction perpendicular to both the vertical direction and a direction in which the freight is received; and a rotation inhibiting part that is provided between said plane and a horizontal plane on which said axis is present, and that limits the range of rotation of the movable part. The movable part includes: a contact part that comes into contact with the freight; and a weight part at which the center of gravity of the movable part is located. The contact part has an end part that projects more upward in the vertical direction than the plane. When the contact part is pressed from the inner side of the mounting base toward the outer side, the rotation inhibiting part stops the rotation of the movable part about the axis by contacting the contact part and keeps the end part of the contact part more upward in the vertical direction than the plane.
Abstract:
Extendible fences for extendible conveyors are disclosed. An example conveyor includes a fence assembly having a plurality of channel segments including at least a base channel segment, an intermediate channel segment, and a distal channel segment. The fence assembly is adjustable in a lengthwise direction such that the fence assembly is longer in the lengthwise direction when a main conveyor assembly is in a fully extended configuration than when the main conveyor assembly is in a fully retracted configuration. The intermediate channel segment is interposed between the base channel segment and the distal channel segment with respect to the lengthwise direction. Each channel segment of the plurality of channel segments includes sidewalls extending upward from a bottom panel. The intermediate channel segment to move in translation in the lengthwise direction relative to an intermediate conveyor section. The bottom panel of the intermediate channel segment is positioned between an upper portion of a conveyor belt of the main conveyor assembly and an upper load bearing surface of the intermediate conveyor section. The upper portion of the conveyor belt being interposed between the sidewalls with reference to a lateral direction, where the lateral direction is horizontal and perpendicular to the lengthwise direction.
Abstract:
An automated truck unloader for unloading/unpacking product, such as boxes or cases, from trailers and containers is disclosed. In one embodiment, a mobile base structure provides a support framework for a drive subassembly, conveyance subassembly, an industrial robot, a distance measurement subassembly, and a control subassembly. Under the operation of the control subassembly, an industrial robot having a suction cup-based gripper arm selectively removes boxes from the trailer and places the boxes on a powered transportation path. The control subassembly coordinates the selective articulated movement of the industrial robot and the activation of the drive subassembly based upon a perception-based robotic manipulation system.
Abstract:
Disclose herein are an automated article singulator and a method thereof. The singulator according to one embodiment includes a measuring unit configured to measure positions and postures of articles being transferred, an arranging unit configured to receive randomly supplied articles, transfer the articles using a transfer apparatus, and change moving directions of the articles using a plurality of direction changing apparatuses, and a control unit configured to control the direction changing apparatuses one at a time or in groups to arrange flows of the articles according to information measured by the measuring unit.
Abstract:
Computer program products, methods, systems, apparatus, and computing entities are provided for automated loading and retrieval of items. In various embodiments, items are received at a loading station where identification data may be captured for each item and handling instructions may be generated. In some embodiments, a label having indicia associated with the item may be generated and affixed to the item. The items may then be deposited through an access door into the vehicle identified in the handling instructions. Once the items are loaded into the access door, an automated load/unload device may deposit the item in the appropriate storage location. The automated load/unload device may also retrieve and rearrange items as desired.
Abstract:
Apparatus to move automatically and in a continuous sequence a plurality of crates in succession, preferably of orthi-cultural products, and vertically laid one on the other so as to form a related stack, able of carrying out the transfer of a first stack to a first loading station, of opening the related crates and of forming a first stack of opened crates; it comprises a first loading conveyor provided with a first loading end, first support means adjacent to said first end and supporting a pallet on which a stack of closed crates is deposed, a first pushing means, placed externally with respect to the vertical projection of said first support means and at a level slightly higher than the level of said first conveyor, in order to transfer, with a translatory and orderly motion, one or more stacks from the pallet to the first loading end.The apparatus is basically able of dealing with the successive stacks of opened crates, produced and available, so as to load, onto a different succession of pallets, a plurality of stacks placed side by side and on the same pallet.
Abstract:
Self-service parcel terminal for storing parcels of different sizes high up in the terminal comprises means for loading postal parcels, loading parcels of varying sizes to the door, measuring and weighing parcels, inserting parcels, storing and delivering parcels. The self-service parcel terminal is also suitable for using as a vending machine, mailbox, storage locker, for delivering goods from e-stores, etc. Gripping mechanism and lift system are used for moving parcels in the terminal, which allows to move parcels in groups or as single items between the shelves and the slot for inserting/delivering parcels.
