    Abstract: A tailgate damping system for controlling movement of a tailgate assembly of a vehicle includes a speed sensor that provides rotational speed information of the tailgate assembly. A controller receives the rotational speed information from the speed sensor. A damping control assembly receives a tailgate shaft of the tailgate assembly. The damping control assembly includes a housing comprising a rotor chamber including a rotor member located therein. The rotor member is connected to a rotor shaft that is coupled to the tailgate shaft. A valve chamber includes a control valve located therein. The controller closes the control valve to inhibit exit of a damping fluid from the rotor chamber based on the speed information received from the speed sensor.

A damping effect is caused by a relative motion between the fluid chamber and the piston and the piston assumes a pressed-in end position relative to the fluid chamber at the end of the damping stroke. The damping device has a locking device having a locking element that can be operated manually or by a tool in order to deactivate the damping effect. The relative position between the fluid chamber and the piston can be releasably locked in the pressed-in end position by the locking element of the locking device.

    Abstract: A furniture hinge includes a fitting part and a hinge cup that is pivotably connected thereto by way of at least one articulated lever. The articulated lever is connected to the hinge cup by way of an articulated axis (A). A cushioning apparatus can be actuated by an actuating element and is provided to cushion a relative movement between the fitting part and the hinge cup.     Abstract: A damper includes a housing, a hollow outer rotor provided inside the housing, an inner rotor disposed inside the outer rotor to constitute a plurality of liquid chambers and rotating in a state decentered relative to an axial core of the outer rotor, a communicating passage connecting between the liquid chambers, and a valve mechanism moving inside the communicating passage. Viscous fluid is filled between the outer rotor and the inner rotor. When the pressure inside the communicating passage reaches a predetermined value or above due to the rotation of the inner rotor, the communicating passage is closed or a flow passage area of they communicating passage is narrowed, and when the pressure inside the communicating passage falls to the predetermined value or less, the communicating passage is opened.

    Abstract: A toggle type hinge (10) has a damper assembly mounted on the flange (12) of its hinge cup. The damper assembly provides a damping resistance to the closing movement of the hinge over its final stage. The damper assembly comprises a sleeve (21) which houses a linear damper. The sleeve (21) is mounted on a groove (26) on the hinge cup flange (12) and is held in position by a holder (15).
