Abstract:
A pressure vessel which is provided preferably for use in bladder accumulators (27), having a multi-part vessel body (1) composed of a tubular central part (3) which, at at least one of its two ends, has a termination region (5, 7), is characterized in that a cover part (9) which at least partially forms the respective termination region (5, 7) engages at the edge over the central part (3), at least in the region of the respectively assignable end (13, 15) thereof, so as to form a fixed connection.
Abstract:
Methods for generating tracing information for gas cylinders are provided comprising a metal cylinder body manufactured from an unrefined metal piece, wherein such a method comprises the steps of equipping the metal piece with an individual marking, identifying, during at least one transformation or control step of the piece, an identification code of the piece by reading the individual marking and associating one or more process parameters of the transformation step or control results with the identification code, and storing the process parameters and the association with the identification code in a database. Systems for generating tracing information for gas cylinders are also provided.
Abstract:
A gas storage container, such as a gas cylinder, is filled with a gas mixture comprising a first gas and a second gas under pressure by feeding a liquid/solid mixture comprising liquefied first gas and solidified second gas into the gas storage container; closing the gas storage container to the passage of gas into or out from the container; and allowing said liquefied first gas and said solidified second gas to become gaseous within said closed gas storage container. Such a process is easier and more energy efficient as compared to direct compression processes, and is safer and results in less wastage as compared to direct liquid injection processes.
Abstract:
The present invention is an above-ground tank cover that includes a base cover that is enclosed around an above-ground tank and a pair of draw strings that include a pair of tabs, the pair of draw strings is positioned around the bottom portion of the base cover and can be pulled to tighten the pair of draw strings around the bottom portion of the base cover. A plurality of reinforced stitching disposed on the top portion of the base cover and extends down a pair of middle side portions and a pair of bottom side portions of the base cover and a hook and loop fastener disposed on a middle portion of the top portion of the base cover, the hook and loop fastener is replaceably removed to allow easy access to the above-ground tank enclosed by the above-ground tank cover.
Abstract:
A modular element for distributing pressurized gas comprising a housing containing at least one tank of pressurized gas, the at least one tank having an outlet orifice coupled, via a pressure reducing valve, to a gas distribution circuit, characterized in that the modular element includes a cover for the housing, the cover selectively closing an open face of the housing and forming a support for a first gas duct and a second gas duct forming at least part of the gas distribution circuit, the first gas duct having a first free extremity and a second free extremity each fitted with a fluid coupling member, the second gas duct having a first free extremity fitted with a fluid coupling member coupled in a selectively removable manner to an inlet receiving expanded gas from the reducing valve of the at least one tank and a second extremity coupled to the first duct, between the two extremities of said first duct.
Abstract:
A propane system including a refillable and reusable propane cylinder having a volume configured for containing no more than about one pound of propane and a valve assembly detachably coupled to the cylinder. The valve assembly includes a swivel outlet connector configured for operatively coupling the valve assembly to an appliance, a manually activated flow valve arranged for selectively preventing a flow of propane from the cylinder to the appliance, a relief valve and a fixed liquid level gauge configured for alerting a safe filling level of the propane cylinder during cylinder refilling. A back check valve is contained at least partially within a space defined by the swivel outlet connector for selectively allowing the flow of propane out of the valve assembly to a propane fueled appliance or into the valve assembly from a propane source and into the cylinder.
Abstract:
An improved molded, reinforced pressure vessel having a winding foot on the liner tank which includes a head, disposed away from the tank and a narrowed neck extending between the head and the tank wherein outer radial dimensions of the head are greater than outer radial dimension of the neck. The improved foot design allows windings to cover more of the liner tank that maximizes the reinforcement provided by the winding and in blow molded liner tanks, the narrow neck restricts the migration of material out of and away from the foot, thus producing a stronger liner tank.
Abstract:
An apparatus for restraining an object in a vehicle may have an elongated frame, a clamp member mounted to the frame at or near one end thereof, and an elongated base member movably mounted to the frame between the clamp member and an opposite end of the frame. The base member may include a curved portion having a support surface defining a curvature and a linear portion between the curved portion and the clamp member. The base member may be movable relative to the frame to an object transition position in which a free end of the linear portion extends outwardly away from the frame and the curved portion retracts upwardly toward the clamp member along a path defined by the curvature to allow the object to be received between, and removed from between, the clamp member and the support surface of the base member.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed, in part, to an apparatus and methods related to an expandable storage tank for compressed gas, the storage tank prepared from a puncture resistant, flexible fabric material in which the storage tank is expandable to a desired volume when inflated and when deflated. During periods of non-use the storage tank is retracted in a compact and folded manner to save space compared to when the tank is inflated. The storage tank is utilized by employing its use in conjunction with a traditional air compressor and can be configured with or without a rigid outer shell that expands in relation to the amount of compressed air transferred into the expandable storage tank.
Abstract:
A step of forming a low-angle helical layer on an outer surface of at least part of each liner dome portion and an outer surface of a liner cylindrical portion, a step of forming an inner hoop layer on an outer surface of the low-angle helical layer on the liner cylindrical portion, and a step of forming a mixed layer by alternately laminating a low-angle helical layer and an outer hoop layer on an outer surface of the inner hoop layer and low-angle helical layer on each liner dome portion. Then, on the liner cylindrical portion, 90% or more of the sum of the thickness of the inner hoop layer and the thickness of the outer hoop layer in the mixed layer is arranged within the range of 75% of the fiber reinforced plastics layer adjacent to the liner in a thickness direction of the fiber reinforced plastics layer.
