    Abstract: Described is an improved trigger assembly for use in an electronic device. The trigger assembly includes a pressure sensitive member and a trigger button. The pressure sensitive member includes two or more conductive lines. The pressure sensitive member is secured to a portion of the mobile terminal. The trigger button is secured to the mobile terminal in a manner such that a force applied to the trigger button causes a resultant force to be applied on the pressure sensitive member. The force applied on the pressure sensitive member causes a change in an electrical property between at least two of the conductive lines. A module measures the electrical property between the conductive lines. A function of the device is initiated depending on a comparison of the measured electrical property to a threshold value.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a keypad for entering alphanumerical data, the keypad comprises at least ten multidirectional keys respectively representing basic digits of decimal numerals, wherein each multidirectional key has at least two orientations of freedom permitting said multidirectional key to be selectively depressed along at least two different directions, one of the directions represents one of the basic digits of decimal numerals and other directions represent various characters, such that the keypad is capable of reducing number of said multidirectional keys in order to enter any digit of alphanumerical data with one action of depressing said multidirectional key to a predetermined direction.

    Abstract: The pressure sensitive sensor includes a sheet base, an application-side and a receiving-side electrode provided on the sheet base and conducting coatings provided on the electrodes. The conductive electrodes have pressure-sensitive conductive ink containing conductive carbon black. Resistance between the application-side electrode and the receiving-side electrode changes by a contact area between the conductive coatings on the electrodes. The pressure-sensitive conductive ink has an enhanced strength as a resin and an enhanced effect of dispersion of the conductive carbon black by adding 30 to 70 parts by weight of silicon dioxide to 100 parts by weight of silicone elastomer component as a binder. The pressure-sensitive sensor has output stability and linearity at temperatures in a wide range from null40null C. to 85null C.

    Abstract: A remote controller for controlling a host device, the controller including a housing, an electrical power source, electronic circuitry within the housing connected to the power source and including a radiation emitter to emit signals from the housing, a plurality of finger depressible buttons exposed on the housing and interfacing with sensors electrically associated with the circuitry. In one embodiment, the analog sensor(s) is/are elastomeric dome-cap sensor(s) including pressure-sensitive variable-conductance material positioned over proximal circuit elements of the circuitry. The analog sensors are preferably associated with selectable functions such as tuner channel changing as for televisions and supportive tuner devices, and video speed controls as for VCRs, DVDs and like recorded video players, and computers and audio and other like devices. Additionally disclosed are methods of use and manufacture.

    Abstract: An operating device is capable of both digital operation and analog operation by using a pressing operation continuously.
