Abstract:
A method of combatting colour loss from a dyed material, the method comprising contacting the material with a composition comprising an amine salt of a carboxylic acid wherein the carboxylic acid has 4 to 10 carbon atoms.
Abstract:
An aqueous shear-thinning personal care composition comprising:(a) at least 3 wt % of a sulfonate compound of general formula where R1 represents a C8-22 alkyl group alkyl group; R2 represents a C1-4 alkyl group; each of R3, R4 and R5 independently represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-4 alkyl group; and M+ represents a sodium or potassium cation; (b) at least 3 wt % of an amphoteric or zwitterionic surfactant; (c) at least 10 wt % of water; and (d) at least 0.5 wt % of an additional component in the form of particles or droplets suspended in the composition. The composition is stable in an aqueous environment and can be formulated with a wide range of additional components.
Abstract:
A quaternary ammonium salt of formula wherein each of R1, R2, R3 and R4 is independently selected from an optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl or aryl group having less than 8 carbon atoms and R5 is hydrogen or an optionally substituted hydrocarbyl group.
Abstract:
Quaternary ammonium salts of formula: wherein each of R1 and R2 is independently selected from an optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl or aryl group having less than 8 carbon atoms, R together with N forms an aliphatic or aromatic heterocycle having less than 12 carbons atoms and R5 is hydrogen or an optionally substituted hydrocarhyl group. The use of these compounds as fuel or lubricant additives, especially as diesel fuel additives,
Abstract:
A quaternary ammonium compound of formula (X), wherein R0, R, R2 and R3 is each individually an optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl or aryl group and R includes an optionally substituted hydrocarbyl moiety having at least 5 carbon atoms.
