Abstract: A torque transferring device is provided having a rotating drive shaft and planetary gear sets that are linked to a rotating chamber, keyed to the drive shaft, to turbomachinery within the chamber. Fluid is fed to the chamber through an axial passage in the drive shaft and is compressed by a number of mechanisms, including set of pump blades, turbine and reaction blades initially driven by the drive shaft and its starter motor. Bubbles within the fluid are subjected to high pressures causing combustion to occur within the bubbles. Additional pressure created by the combustion of the bubbles drives the fluid to exert a torque on the drive shaft through the gearing mechanism, thereby generating power.

Abstract: A Magnetic, latent fingerprint development brush featuring a non-rigid, removable, disposable cover/body, to be used when developing latent fingerprints on contaminated surfaces. The cover can be removed and cleaned or disposed of and exchanged with a new cover. The non-rigid design allows operation without tension springs. The tip is less abrasive against surfaces being printed, since it has no sharp rigid edges. This lessens the chance of distortion of the latent print. The design is simple. A magnetic rod is attached to a handle, which is inserted into a flexible removable cover/body. A light grip holds the cover against the handle during use.

Abstract: An electronically controlled micro-dispensing apparatus (10 or 210) is described. The apparatus includes a liquid storage container (12), a propellant container (16), a control circuit (34 or 42) and an ejector (28). In a second embodiment, the liquid and propellant are in the same container (212). The control circuits control the length of pulse and the time duration between each pulse. By controlling these factors, the apparatus dispenses a precise amount of liquid over a set time period. The ejector allows for controlled dispensing and allows the liquid to be sprayed a greater distance. In the preferred embodiment, the apparatus are used to dispense a pheromone in an outdoor setting, such as an orchard, to control insects.

Abstract: An apparatus consisting of a pair of rollers with tangentially meeting perimeters for crimping successive portions of a continuous strip of solder into rings around a strip of terminal posts carried in parallel manner upon a common carrier strip. The roller perimeters each contain a circumferential track of crimping ridges which are both axially and angularly positioned to coincide with corresponding ridges on the other roller to crimp said solder strip around each post on the strip of terminal posts, both strips being simultaneously passed between the crimping tracks on said rollers.
