Abstract:
A cone crusher includes an outer crushing shell and an inner crushing shell forming a crushing gap there between. The outer crushing shell is supported on an upper frame member in vertically adjustable engagement with a lower frame member. A sensor arrangement having a sensor element is provided for measuring the vertical position of the outer crushing shell. The cone crusher further includes a target means arranged to be detectable by the sensor element, wherein one of the target means and the sensor element are arranged to follow vertical movement of the upper frame member and to move in relation to the other one of the target means and the sensor element. The sensor element includes a vertical sensing array which extends in a vertical direction along at least a portion of a range within which the target means may be moved upon adjusting the vertical position of the upper frame member.
Abstract:
A holder assembly for a cutting tool insert for machining operations. The holder assembly has first and second spaced apart clamping members, each having respective inner seating surfaces facing one another and defining an intermediate gap to receive the cutting tool. The clamping members are movable towards each other by a clamping mechanism to clamp and secure the cutting tool insert between the seating surfaces. The clamping mechanism includes a drawbar that is received in a cavity formed in each of the clamping members and are aligned with each other and extends in a transverse direction in relation to the intermediate gap. The clamping mechanism also includes a compression spring member, which presses the clamping members towards each other to secure clamping of the cutting tool insert. The clamping mechanism is released by a releasing member that overcomes the spring force acting to move the clamping members towards each other.

The assembly comprises a pair of linear actuators that are coupled between the back frame end and a region of the toggle unit so as to move the toggle unit towards and away from the back frame end to allow insertion and removal of spacers and/or shims.

A gyratory crusher outer crushing shell. The outer crushing shell comprises an upper contact surface region that is divided into a plurality of elongate circumferentially extending shoulders. The shoulders are separated by recessed gap regions adapted to accommodate a suitable backing material to structurally reinforce the shell. A channel extends circumferentially around the shell in the outward facing surface to axially separate the upper contact surface region from a lower contact surface region. The channel is also adapted to accommodate the backing material.

A hole-making tool includes a body having a seat, which is delimited by a tangential support surface, an axial support surface, and a radial support surface. A cutting insert is fixed in the seat. A pair of female- and male-like securing means is arranged in the interface between the tangential support surface of the seat and the underside of the cutting insert. The female-like securing means includes a guide surface. The male-like securing means is spaced from the guide surface to form a gap between the securing means when the cutting insert is pressed against the axial and radial support surfaces. If the feeding direction of the tool is reversed, the cutting insert may become detached from the seat and the securing means is activated to direct the cutting insert inward toward the radial support surface to prevent the peripheral portion of the cutting insert from scratching the generated hole.

The present invention relates to an exchangeable insert seat member for a metal cutting tool having a tool body and a cutting insert. The exchangeable insert seat member is arranged to be placed between the tool body and the cutting insert, wherein the exchangeable insert seat member contacts the tool body. The cutting insert at contact areas is arranged such that there is no direct contact between the tool body and the cutting insert and wherein the exchangeable insert seat member is produced by powder injection molding. The present invention also relates to a metal cutting tool having the exchangeable insert seat member.

A method of interconnecting a drill rod with a drill string by a threaded connection is disclosed. The method includes axially aligning the drill rod with the drill string, rotating the drill rod in a disengagement rotational direction of the threaded connection, identifying a rotational position of the drill rod where thread ends of the rod and the drill string slip over each other, stopping the rotating within a predetermined period of identifying the rotational position, and rotating the drill rod in an engagement direction, such that the drill rod is interconnected with the drill string by the threaded connection.

A cutting pick tool including a cemented carbide support body that mounts a diamond composite cutting tip. The support body includes a recess having a conical region that mounts a complementary conical shaped mount portion of the tip. The components are brazed together to provide a secure and robust cutting tip region.
