Abstract:
The present invention provides a method, system and computer program product for determining a reuse factor associated with a set of resources available for a project. The method includes identifying the set of resources from a repository. The predetermined saved-effort associated with the set of resources is also determined from the repository. The method further includes identifying one or more resources from the set of resources. The one or more resources are identified by a project leader to be used in the project. Thereafter, the reuse factor is estimated on the basis of the predetermined saved-effort associated with the set of resources and the effort saved by the use of the one or more resources.
Abstract:
A method of handling transactions in a plurality of organization embracing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is disclosed. The method includes invoking the transaction when at least one application registers for the transaction, by recognizing one or more services associated to the registered transaction context. The method also includes identifying one or more operations which needs to be initiated for executing each of the respective service. The method further includes revoking the transaction when an error is encountered during the transaction. The process of revoking the transaction includes rolling back the executed operations of the respective services when at least one of the identified operations of the recognized services encounters an error during the transaction.
Abstract:
A framework for supporting transition of one or more applications of an organization is provided. The one or more applications are transitioned from a first set of users to a second set of users. The framework includes a transition module, a knowledge capture module, a knowledge validation module, and a collaboration module. The transition module generates one or more transition plans based on information corresponding to the one or more applications. The knowledge capture module captures a plurality of knowledge elements corresponding to the one or more applications. The knowledge capture module further establishes association between the plurality of knowledge elements. The knowledge validation module validates the plurality of knowledge elements and their association. The collaboration module provides collaboration between the first set of users and the second set of users during the transition of the one or more applications.
Abstract:
A knowledge tracking and analysis system and method. The method may include: an artifact evaluator that receives various use parameters for each knowledge artifact, operates on the received use parameters, and generates respective parameter scores; and a knowledge index calculator that compiles parameter scores and generates a knowledge index indicative of use of the knowledge entities during the project. The system and method allow analysis and tracking of knowledge artifacts in future projects.
Abstract:
A framework for managing a lifecycle of a program in an organization is provided. The framework includes a process module, a guiding module, a program lifecycle mapping module, and a matrix module. The process module provides a plurality of process guidelines for the one or more stages of the project management lifecycle. Further, the process module includes a strategic planning module, a financial management module, a risk management module, an organization change management module, a stake holder management module, a knowledge management module, a contractual compliance module, a governance module and a program setup module. The guiding module integrates a plurality of organizational attributes with the process guidelines of the process module. The program lifecycle mapping module maps the plurality of process guidelines with the one or more stages of the life cycle. The matrix module provides assignment of program management roles to one or more participants.
Abstract:
A framework for implementing Business Intelligence (BI) solutions at an organization level is provided. The framework includes an architecture module, a process module, an operations and support module, a governance module and a delivery module. The architecture module includes an execution architecture, an operations architecture and a development architecture. The process module manages processes implemented by Business Units (BUs) to provide BI solutions. The operations and support module manages the infrastructural requirements of the framework. The governance module manages the organizational requirements related to the implementation of the framework. The delivery module manages the delivery of the processed business data to the BUs. The process module, the operations and support module, the governance module and the delivery module are implemented, based on the architecture module. The framework is used as a Business Intelligence Competency Center (BICC) for providing real-time BI solutions to BUs.
Abstract:
A dynamic data management and distribution system to interact with network computing devices of a user is provided. The user has memory allocated in the system. The system includes an ingest module for automatically uploading content from every network computing device and storing the content in the memory allocated to the user. Further, the system includes a sourcing module to retrieve information from user subscribed external information management services and storing the information in the allocated memory. The system includes a share module to share data with one or more users from a contact list of the user. Data includes part or whole of the information and content. The system also includes a self adaptive module, for proactively transferring data to one or more users from the contact list of the user based on the past behavior of the user.
Abstract:
Computer-implemented methods, systems and computer-readable media for providing a query layer for cloud databases comprise importing data into said cloud by at least one of the computing devices, converting at least one of the queries over row-store database into a query over column-store database by means of cost based query optimizer and retrieving said data from the column-store database based on said query by at least one of the computing devices.
Abstract:
A method and system for managing passenger and vehicle safety is disclosed. The method includes registering a passenger based on an identification parameter received from the passenger when the passenger boards a vehicle. The method further includes monitoring a set of vehicle status parameters associated with the vehicle in real time. The method also includes generating a notification when a predefined notification condition occurs. The predefined notification condition is associated with at least one of the vehicle status parameters and the identification parameter. The method further includes deregistering the passenger based on the identification parameter when the passenger exits the vehicle.
Abstract:
A method for processing a message received by a client device over a mobile communication network is provided. The method enables, firstly, applying one or more predetermined rules on the message. The one or more predetermined rules facilitate modifying the message by removing unwanted words therefrom. Secondly, the method enables matching keywords in the modified message with keywords stored in a keyword database to extract context from the message. Finally, the method enables rendering the extracted context on a user interface screen of the client device. The extracted context is customizable by a user.
