Abstract: Disclosed is a composite gypsum board comprising a board core and a concentrated layer of substantial thickness (e.g., at least about 0.02 inches). The concentrated layer includes a higher weight percentage of an enhancing additive than the board core. The board core has a thickness greater than the thickness of the concentrated layer and forms the bulk of the board volume. The concentrated layer has a higher density (e.g., at least about 1.1 times greater) than the density of the board core. Also disclosed is a method of preparing a composite gypsum board.

Abstract: Disclosed is a composite gypsum board comprising a board core and a concentrated layer of substantial thickness (e.g., at least about 0.02 inches). Abstract: The present invention relates to a mortar with a composition comprising the following components expressed in percentage by weight: 65-69% calcium sulphate; 28-33% water; and 0.01-0.1% polycarboxylic acid-based setting control additive. The invention also relates to a construction material with a composition that consists of a mortar mixture such as the aforementioned mixture and a granular material selected from among ethyl vinyl acetate, cork or marble powder. According to the invention, the construction material can be used to produce construction parts, blocks or panels, and the parts produced with said construction material can be attached to each other and/or coated with the mortar.

Abstract: A cement paste composition includes a curable component including a cementitious material and a zeolitic imidazolate framework-67 (ZIF-67) present in an amount of 0.01 to 3% by weight based on a total weight of the cementitious material. The composition further includes water in an amount of 30 to 50% by weight based on a total weight of the cement paste composition. A cured specimen made from the cement paste composition has a compressive strength of 30 to 80 megapascal (MPa) according to ASTM C109/C109M-21 standard test method, and a direct tensile strength of 1.2 to 2.2 MPa according to ASTM C307-18 standard test method. The ZIF-67 particles are uniformly distributed throughout the cured specimen. A method of producing the cement paste specimen.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a lightweight thermal insulating cellular cement-based material and a lightweight thermal insulating cellular cement-based board made thereof are disclosed. A binder, an activator, and a blowing agent are mixed to obtain a mixture. The mixture is homogenized to form a cement slurry, which is poured into a mold afterwards. With the help of the activator and an increased temperature of the mold, the cement slurry in the mold will be activated and start foaming and curing to form a cellular cement-based material. The cellular structure is constructed by decomposition of the blowing agent to form a plurality of closed-cell bubbles, which are fixed in the cement slurry during the curing. After the formation, the mold is removed to obtain the cellular cement-based material. The material exhibits high integrity fire resistance and extraordinary insulation fire resistance.

Abstract: Techniques of forming a foamed insulation material from gypsum waste are disclosed herein. One example technique includes mechanically comminuting the gypsum waste from an original size into particles of gypsum at a target size smaller than the original size and mixing the particles of the gypsum with a binder to form a mixture of particles and binder. The binder is configured to bind the particles of gypsum upon hydration. The example technique can further include performing air entrainment on the mixture until a foam is formed from the mixture having the particles of gypsum and binder. The foam has water that causes the binder to bind the particles of gypsum. The example technique can then include removing moisture from the mixture with the formed foam to form a foamed insulation material from the particles of gypsum.

Abstract: The present invention provides a fiber-reinforced cement composition comprising; cement, fiber, silica, filler, expanded perlite, and polymer. The fiber-reinforced cement composition according to the present invention has low density, high toughness and flexural strength, and not contains volatile composition. When it is molded into workpiece, the workpiece is lightweight, easy to be cut and/or lathed into desired shapes, drilled and fixed with screws and/or repeatedly nailed at the same position, tolerant to humidity, termites and insects, inflammable and does not produce powder when cut, drilled and/or lathed that is hazardous to the workers. Therefore, it is suitably applicable for being utilized as a material for manufacturing furniture parts.
