Abstract:
A gas pressure regulator is provided that includes a body defining a front portion and opposed side portions. A first gas pressure indicator is mounted to a lower end of the front portion of the body, and a second gas pressure indicator mounted to an upper end of the front portion of the body, wherein the first gas pressure indicator and the second gas pressure indicator are stacked in a vertical configuration. Additionally, a pressure adjustment knob is mounted to one of the side portions of the body in one form of the present disclosure.
Abstract:
A tank for storing gas is provided with a dye capsule layer including capsules containing dye or with an impact recording layer formed on the outer surface of the tank body. The impact recording layer has, for example, a hear-insulating material layer formed on the outer surface of the tank body, having a heat-insulating function, and capable of holding deformation, a dye capsule layer formed on the outer surface of the heat-insulating layer and including capsules containing dye, and a dye absorbing layer formed on the outer surface of the dye capsule layer and capable of absorbing dye. By an impact, the dye released from the dye capsule layer is absorbed into a dye absorbing layer of the tank. The dye exudes on the surface of the dye absorbing layer and spreads. The degree of impact given to the tank is estimated from the degree of spread of the dye or the degree of density of the dye.
Abstract:
A compressed gas cylinder hanger having resiliently flexible engagement with the neck of the compressed gas cylinder to fix or resist rotation of the compressed gas cylinder hanger about neck.
Abstract:
A vertical fuel tank support system for efficiently supporting a vertical propane tank above the ground. The vertical fuel tank support system generally includes a support pad including an internal cavity, wherein the internal cavity extends throughout the support pad, an inner platform defining a first portion of an upper surface of the elongated support pad, wherein the inner platform is comprised of circular configuration, an outer platform defining a second portion of an upper surface of the elongated support pad, wherein the outer platform is comprised of circular configuration and an internal ribbing structure extending within the internal cavity and beneath the inner platform and the outer platform. The internal ribbing structure includes a first ribbing portion and a second ribbing portion, wherein the first ribbing portion interconnects with the second ribbing portion. The first ribbing portion extends across the inner platform and the outer platform and wherein the second ribbing portion extends solely around the outer platform.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a handle or shroud for carrying or manipulating portable gas cylinders and gas cylinder valves for the administration of medical gases, such as oxygen. The shroud of the present invention provides improved safety and versatility to the handling process of such cylinders and valves. In one embodiment, the handle or shroud allows an individual to lift the cylinder, valve and shroud from about 26″ off the ground or floor with the wrist turned up.
Abstract:
One embodiment of the invention includes a product including a pressurized gas storage vessel shell including an interior surface and an exterior surface, a liner layer over the interior surface of the pressurized gas storage vessel, and a permeation protection layer over the liner layer.
Abstract:
A charge station is provided for filling a gas cylinder with gas. The charge station includes a gas output port configured to be fluidly connected to a supply of gas. The gas output port is configured to be fluidly connected to the gas cylinder for filling the gas cylinder with gas from the supply of gas. The charge station also includes a control system operatively connected to the gas output such that the control system is configured to control filling of the gas cylinder, and a radio frequency identification (RFID) reader operatively connected to the control system, the RFID reader configured to read data from an RFID tag on the gas cylinder.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a gas filling and distribution head which is intended to be disposed in a hole in a pressurised gas storage tank. The inventive head includes a mounting segment which is intended to be housed in the hole in the tank and an expansion segment which houses a pre-expansion device, said pre-expansion device being arranged in relation to the mounting segment such as to be housed at least partially inside the tank when the head is in the mounted position. The invention is characterised in that it includes a connection interface that is intended to co-operate removably with a control device for filling the tank with gas and/or extracting gas from same.
Abstract:
A mounting assembly for holding and moving a propane cylinder between a first operational position and a second lower loading/unloading position with respect to a support structure of a forklift is provided. The mounting assembly includes a base member adapted for connection to the forklift support structure, a cradle for supporting the cylinder between the first and second positions, and first and second pivot arms having a first end pivotally connected to the base member and a second end pivotally connected to the cradle. In the first position, the cradle is in a generally horizontal orientation. In the second position, the cradle is in a generally vertical orientation. Angular movement of the first and second pivot arms causes rotation of the cradle between the generally horizontal and generally vertical orientations. An adjustable locator pin is connected to the cradle for receiving a locator opening in a valve guard of different propane cylinders.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a metal nozzle boss provided with a sealing device, which has highly improved tightness and is combined with a plastic liner of a composite vessel used as a high-pressure vessel. The metal nozzle boss uses an elastic seal ring and a tightening piece in the plastic liner, so that the nozzle boss reliably seals the junction of the nozzle boss and the liner and prevents gas leakage from the vessel. The blade part of the nozzle boss has a dovetail-shaped locking groove, with locking ridges formed in the locking groove. Thus, when the plastic liner is produced by injecting molten resin into the locking groove, the plastic liner is securely combined with the metal nozzle boss. The composite vessel having the metal nozzle boss can be used as a fuel tank for natural gas vehicles or a hydrogen tank for fuel cell vehicles.
