Abstract: This disclosure is directed to reducing output voltage distortions of Variable Gain Amplifiers (VGAs). A VGA may include a number of amplifiers each providing a portion of a total gain of the VGA. For example, a processing circuit may select one or more of the amplifiers of the VGA to provide the output signal with a selected gain. However, the selected amplifiers may provide amplified signals with one or more distortion signals when receiving a bias voltage. Systems and methods are described to reduce or cancel the distortion signals of the selected amplifiers by providing a subthreshold nonzero bias voltage (e.g., a weak voltage) to the remaining (e.g., non-selected) amplifiers of the VGA. For example, the non-selected amplifiers may receive the weak voltage to provide distortion signals with similar voltage amplitude and out of phase compared to the distortion signals of the selected amplifiers.

Abstract: A digital audio playback circuit includes a noise shaping circuit configured to receive an input digital audio signal, and a digital to analog converter (DAC) configured to convert the input digital audio signal to a pre-amplified output analog audio signal according to a gain ramp defined by a gain control signal. A muting circuit is configured to compare input digital audio signal to a threshold and assert a mute control signal when the input digital audio signal is below the threshold. An analog gain control ramp circuit is configured to generate the gain control signal in response to the mute control signal to cause the gain ramp to ramp down. An amplifier is configured to amplify the pre-amplified output analog audio signal for playback by an audio playback device.

Abstract: A technology is described for adjusting repeater gain based on user equipment need. A downlink path of the repeater can be deactivated. A deactivated throughput value can be received from the UE for data received at the UE in a selected time period. The downlink amplification path of the repeater can be activated. An activated throughput value for data received at the UE in the selected time period can be received from the UE. A difference can be determined between the deactivated throughput value and the activated throughput value. A repeater gain value can be reduced or bypassed when the deactivated throughput value is greater than the activated throughput value by a selected threshold value.

The degeneration circuit can include an inductor and a switching-capacitive arm coupled in parallel to the inductor. Abstract: In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, an antenna system is described. The antenna system includes an array of antennas. Each antenna emits electromagnetic waves and is presented with a load that is different from other antennas in the array. The antenna system also includes a control system. The control system includes a single transmitter to sequentially drive antenna sets, a switching device to select, for each activation period in an activation sequence, an antenna set to be driven, and a controller. The controller determines an actual power output of each antenna and generates an adjusted control signal for the single transmitter such that the output of each antenna is controlled to match a target power for that antenna, regardless of a load for the antenna.

In some examples, a method may include receiving sets of data values (e.g., at a power-supply control circuitry) for control of a rail voltage of an amplifier output stage. The method may also include determining that the receipt of a pending set of data values has been interrupted. Then, upon the determination that the receipt of the pending plurality of data values has been interrupted, the method may include decreasing the rail voltage to a non-boosted rail-voltage level.
