Abstract:
The polymer composition is used for packing products of the chemical, food and other industries. The packing material obtained from the polymer composition has a wide range of application and controllable decomposition of the packages in water medium, ensuring environmental cleanness and recycling of the material. The polymer composition for packing materials contains polyvinylalcohol and water, and, according to the invention, it also contains polyvinylacetate dispersion, methylcellulose, carboxymethylcellulose and glucose in the following proportions of the components in % by weight: polyvinylalcohol 32-84, polyvinylacetate dispersion 10-57, methylcellulose 3.0-5.8, carboxymethylcellulose 2.0-4.2, glucose 0.5-2.3, and water 0.5-6.0. The method for producing packing materials from the polymer composition includes the preparation of a dry mixture or viscous mass and moulding. According to the invention, before or after the moulding the material is treated successively with aqueous sodium tetraborate solution and aqueous formaldehyde solution.
Abstract:
A biodegradable plastic composition enabling to stably adjust biodegradation rate, improve hydrolysis resistance and heat resistance, and retain transparency, molded articles thereof and a method for controlling biodegradation rate of the biodegradable plastic. In more detail, a biodegradable plastic composition, characterized in that said composition is made by compounding 100 parts by weight of a biodegradable plastic (A), in particular, an aliphatic type polyester with 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of a carbodiimide compound (B) and 0.01 to 3 parts by weight of an antioxidant (C), in particular, a hindered phenol type antioxidant with a molecular weight of not less than 400 alone or mixed antioxidants of said hindered phenol type antioxidant and a phosphite type antioxidant, a molded article thereof and a method for controlling biodegradation rate of the biodegradable plastic.
Abstract:
The present invention teaches a chemiluminescent device along with a process for its production. The invention specifically relates to a chemiluminescent article of manufacture which includes a containment device and chemical system, both of which may be selected so as to be particularly susceptible to environmental degradation subsequent to their use. In a preferred embodiment the chemiluminescent device is categorized as being biodegradable, i.e. designed to be capable of losing its physical form and re-entering the environment.
