Abstract: This application is directed to system, devices, and methods of keyboard key switches that facilitate electrical connections to specialized keycaps. In some embodiments, a serial connection (e.g., USB or any serial protocol) can be created and maintained between a key switch of the inventive subject matter and a specialized keycap that couples with a top portion of the key switch's plunger. Key switches of the inventive subject matter incorporate spring probes to create electrical connections between a printed circuit board disposed below the key switches and the top portions of the key switches' plungers. Thus, different regions of a key switch's plunger can feature different conductive regions, which facilitates creating electrical connections between a PCB and a specialized keycap.

Abstract: An example overfill-tolerant microfluidic structure can include an inlet microfluidic channel. A sample chamber can be connected to the inlet microfluidic channel to receive liquid from the inlet microfluidic channel. A gas-permeable liquid barrier can be connected to the sample chamber and positioned to allow gas to flow out of the sample chamber. An overflow chamber can be connected to the inlet microfluidic channel. A capillary break can be positioned between the inlet microfluidic channel and the overflow chamber. The capillary break can include a narrowed opening with a smaller width than a width of the inlet microfluidic channel. In some examples, the gas-permeable liquid barrier can allow gas to flow out of the sample chamber at a pressure lower than the break pressure, and prevent liquid from flowing out of the sample chamber at the break pressure.

Abstract: An example device includes an array of sensor modules. A sensor module includes a body to be positioned in alignment with a planar target, a light source coupled to the body to emit light to the planar target along a source optical path, and a plurality of light sensors coupled to the body. Each light sensor is to sense a different wavelength of light received from the planar target along a sensor optical path. The sensor optical path is different from the source optical path. The bodies of the array of sensor modules are arranged in a planar tiling pattern with respect to a longitudinal axis of the planar target.

Abstract: A computing device receives a notification from a tracking device that the tracking device has entered a gripped state in which a user has securely gripped the tracking device with a hand of the user. The computing device responsively receives orientation data from the tracking device indicative of an orientation of the tracking device in a tracking device space. The computing device determines an orientation of the hand of the user in a hand tracking space from captured image data of the hand of the user and the tracking device. The computing device generates a transformation matrix to anchor the tracking device space to the hand tracking space. The tracking device resultantly enters an anchored state.
