    Abstract: A peer-to-peer network of printing devices is configured to share printing device information, such as job queue status, configuration information, and resource information for automated load balancing, capability matching, failover, and print splitting operations. A digital front end (DFE) of a printing device establishes connections with the DFEs of other printing devices to manage output within the peer-to-peer network in an automated manner. When a print job is received at a DFE for a printing device, it is evaluated to determine how to best manage the output for the print job.

    Abstract: An inkjet ink contains quinacridone pigment, pigment dispersion resin, and aqueous medium. The pigment dispersion resin contains absorbed resin that is absorbed by the quinacridone pigment and unabsorbed resin that is not absorbed by the quinacridone pigment. A ratio of the unabsorbed resin to the pigment dispersion resin is 50 weight percent or less. A sulfur concentration in the 10-fold diluent of supernatant liquid obtained by centrifuging the inkjet ink at 1,050,000 G for three hours is 0.4 ppm or more and 7.0 ppm or less. In an ultraviolet and visible ray absorption spectrum of the 25-fold diluent of the supernatant liquid, light absorbance at a predetermined peak is 0.7 or less. The predetermined peak is a maximum peak in a wavelength range of 400 nm or more and 490 nm or less.

    Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an attachment part and a sheet feeding cassette attached to the attachment part. The sheet feeding cassette includes a cassette main body, a lift plate, a lock member and a biasing member. The lift plate is supported in a turnable manner. The lock member is movable between a lock position where a turning of the lift plate is restricted and a release position where the turning of the lift plate is permitted.
