    Abstract: A belt for an elevator system includes a plurality of tension members arranged along a belt width and extending longitudinally along a length of the belt. Each tension member includes a core member formed from a plurality of load carrying fibers, and a plurality of overwrap members surrounding the core member. A jacket material at least partially encapsulates the plurality of tension members. An elevator system includes a hoistway, an elevator car positioned in the hoistway and movable therein, and a belt operably connected to the elevator car to suspend and/or drive the elevator car along the hoistway. The belt includes a plurality of tension members arranged along a belt width and extending longitudinally along a length of the belt. Each tension member includes a core member formed from a plurality of load carrying fibers, and a plurality of overwrap members surrounding the core member.

    Abstract: A system includes a memory system and a processor of a first processing system including a processor core, a direct memory access controller, and a communication interface. The processor core is configured to execute a plurality of instructions to configure the direct memory access controller to trigger a transmitter interrupt upon transmitting a first synchronization message through the communication interface to a second processing system, configure the direct memory access controller to trigger a receiver interrupt upon receiving a second synchronization message from the second processing system, determine a time difference between triggering of the transmitter interrupt and the receiver interrupt, and adjust a synchronization skew of a real-time scheduler based on the time difference to tune real-time synchronization between the first processing system and the second processing system.

    Abstract: A system and method for detecting elevator maintenance behaviors in an elevator hoistway. The system of the invention comprises: an emitting component for emitting wireless signals including channel state information (CSI) into the elevator hoistway; a receiving component for receiving the CSI from the elevator hoistway; and a maintenance behavior detecting device, which comprises: a memory that stores CIS image recognition models constructed corresponding to the predefined elevator maintenance behaviors and a corresponding computer program executable on a processor, and the processor configured to be able to execute the computer program to implement the following operations: processing data of the received CSI to obtain a CSI image corresponding to the elevator maintenance behavior detected, and inputting the CSI image to the CSI image recognition model for analysis and processing so as to detect the elevator maintenance behavior.

    Abstract: Elevator systems and methods are provided. The systems include a traveling component movable along a guide rail within an elevator shaft, an elevator machine operably connected to the traveling component and including a machine brake, and an overspeed safety system. The overspeed safety system includes a safety brake and an electromechanical actuator, the brake engageable with the guide rail. A safety system controller operably connects to the electromechanical actuator and triggers the electromechanical actuator due to at least a detected triggering event. A temporary power supply is operably connected to the overspeed safety system to provide power in the event of a power failure.
