Abstract: A display device includes a pixel electrode, a pixel isolation insulating film in which an opening through which the pixel electrode is exposed at a bottom is formed, and a light-emitting layer formed inside the opening. The pixel isolation insulating film contains particles that receive light emitted from the light-emitting layer and propagate light in a direction different from that of the light emitted from the light-emitting layer.

Abstract: A display device includes: pixel electrodes corresponding to pixels; an insulating layer provided so as to overlie peripheral edge portions of the pixel electrodes; a light-emitting layer provided so as to be stacked on and in contact with each of the pixel electrodes; a first common electrode stacked on the light-emitting layer so as to be in contact therewith and provided so as to overlie the insulating layer; a light transmissive layer stacked on the first common electrode above the pixel electrodes, the light transmissive layer avoiding stacking thereof on the first common electrode above the insulating layer; and a second common electrode stacked on the light transmissive layer above the pixel electrodes and stacked on the first common electrode so as to be in contact therewith above the insulating layer.

Abstract: In a display device, light emitting areas and colored areas each have a predetermined planar shape having no rotational symmetry so that rotation of the area by an angle greater than or equal to 0° but smaller than 360° does not produce an initial shape of the area and are so arranged as to have different types of rotation angle. The colored areas are grouped based on a set of the colored areas of colors different from one another to forma plurality of full-color pixels. The full-color pixels are so arranged that the rotation angle of the colored areas of the same color have different types. In the full-color pixels of the same type, the colored areas of the same color have the same rotation angle. In the full-color pixels of different types, the colored areas of the same color have different rotation angles.

Abstract: In an organic electroluminescent device, deterioration of an organic material layer of an OLED due to moisture and the like from a surrounding material is effectively prevented. Abstract: A manufacturing method of a display device includes forming a pixel in a display area of a panel, forming a transistor circuit in a peripheral area of the panel, the peripheral area being located in the vicinity of the display area, forming a first pad in a part of the peripheral area, forming a second pad in a peripheral area of another panel adjacent to the part of the panel, the second pad being electrically connected to the transistor circuit, performing a driving inspection on the transistor circuit by use of the second pad, and separating the first pad and the second pad from each other after the driving inspection.
