Abstract:
A data transmission/reception system provides the recipient of image data with flexible options for handling the image data. The system transmits notification mail to a cellular phone owned by the recipient when transmitting facsimile data from a transmitting facsimile machine to a receiving facsimile machine. The recipient transmits a command from the cellular phone indicating how the facsimile data received by the receiving facsimile machine should be handled. In response to the command received from the cellular phone, the receiving facsimile machine either forms an image based on the facsimile data on paper or forwards the facsimile data to another facsimile machine near the recipient. Accordingly, the recipient can transmit a forwarding command instructing the receiving facsimile machine to transmit the facsimile data to a facsimile machine nearby when the recipient is in a remote location, thereby enabling the recipient to view an image based on the facsimile data at any time.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus obtains a job identification condition from a host device. When the image processing apparatus receives an input job, it also obtains a primary processing condition, uses the primary processing condition and the job identification condition to determine whether the job was input under a given condition, and if so, notifies the host device. In reply, the host device sends the image processing apparatus a secondary processing condition, and the image processing apparatus executes the input job according to both the primary and the secondary processing conditions. An administrator at the host device can use this capability to supervise and manage the use of the image processing device by other users.
Abstract:
A multi-functional peripheral combination apparatus includes a multi-functional peripheral, a portable electronic equipment and a transforming unit being electrically connected between the multi-functional peripheral and the portable electronic equipment for image management, file management and other administrative affairs. Furthermore, the operation applied to both of the portable electronic equipment and the multi-functional peripheral is configured to preview the working image before the processing of the multi-functional peripheral, and then to edit and revise the image.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes a reading unit, a printing unit, a control unit configured to control a reading job for causing the reading unit to execute reading processing and a printing job for causing the printing unit to execute print processing, and a setting unit configured to perform setting as to whether to permit execution of a second job while a first job is in execution, wherein the first job is one of the reading job and the printing job, and the second job is the other of the reading job and the printing job. The control unit controls the reading job and the printing job based on the setting performed by the setting unit.
Abstract:
A photographic processing system is disclosed in which subject and other data is stored in a database and such data is automatically linked to photographs taken using either a film or digital camera.
Abstract:
After a print request is made from a personal computer to a multifunction peripheral, when a user who logs into the multifunction peripheral instructs an execution of the print request in the multifunction peripheral, the multifunction peripheral requests the personal computer to transmit image data. Then, the personal computer transmits the requested image data to the multifunction peripheral. The multifunction peripheral executes the printing using the received image data. When the printing is completed, the multifunction peripheral transmits a completion notification indicating that the printing is completed to the personal computer. When receiving the completion notification, the personal computer transmits a completion notification having the same content as the received completion notification to the multifunction peripheral.
Abstract:
A network terminal management apparatus is able to manage terminals using a simple method, without the user feeling that convenience in terms of operability has been compromised. This network terminal management apparatus generates a list table of target tasks in which user terminal information is included, and sends the information of the list table to the user terminal. This enables the user to select desired target tasks from the displayed list table and enjoy services even with a multi-function processor having low operability.
Abstract:
An apparatus for displaying digital image files on a standard display device such as a television set is provided in the form of a set-top box. The box includes an integrated circuit and memory buffer for computing an image from a file, a second memory buffer for storing computed images, and a video output for delivering the images to the display device. Preferably, the set-top box also includes an infrared receiver for remote operation. The set-top box receives the image files from standard storage media such as floppy disks.
Abstract:
A printing calorimetric control device of the present invention is configured to comprise a reception section which receives a designation for a colorimetry position on a predetermined image; a printing control section which prints an image on a print medium on the basis of image data which represent the predetermined image; a determination section which determines a position when a colorimetry section is caused to perform colorimetry on the predetermined image printed on the print medium on the basis of the designation; a conveyance section which conveys the print medium for which printing has been completed on the basis of the position thus determined; and a colorimetric control section which acquires a colorimetry value of the colorimetry position of the designation by causing the colorimetry section to execute colorimetry on the basis of the position thus determined.
Abstract:
An apparatus for creating a digital photo album is disclosed. Digital photo albums may be created on the storage media by a method that includes the steps of displaying a group of images, receiving instructions to select a subset of those images and save the subset as an album, compressing the files corresponding to those images and saving the compressed files to the storage medium.
