Abstract:
An instantaneous current and instantaneous voltage of a three-phase coil of a brushless DC motor are detected, and the internal condition of a compressor is predicted from these detection values. The prediction about the internal condition of the compressor is made in such a way that motor driving torque which is a parameter of a motor model is identified and poor lubrication, liquid compression or the like is predicted from this identified motor driving torque. This enables it to make, in real time, a failure forecast, failure diagnosis etc. on the compressor.
Abstract:
A compressor unit includes a compressor, an inverter for driving the compressor, and an over-current protective device for protecting the inverter against an output over-current. A control part controls the output voltage of the inverter when the compressor is started based on a ambient temperature detected by a temperature sensor so that the input current of the inverter does not exceed the working current value of the over-current protective device having temperature characteristics varying according to the ambient temperature. Thereby, a start torque can be increased by increasing the output voltage of the inverter without operating the over-current protective device when the compressor is stated at a low temperature when a start load is increased.
Abstract:
A pump system includes a peristaltic pump having a rotor, a motor and a controller. The motor is configured to drive the peristaltic pump so as to deliver a liquid product from a source to a receiving location. The controller monitors a drive current of the motor so as to track rotation of the pump's rotor. The controller counts units of rotation of the pump's rotor, and stops the motor when the counted units of rotation reach a specified target count value.

Abstract:
A hydraulic power system includes a reversible pump, a variable-speed servomotor for driving the pump, a pressure sensor for detecting load pressure, a detector for detecting the motor speed, signal command units for generating preprogrammed pressure and flow rate commands, a rotational speed controller and a signal processor. The signal processor preferentially outputs a speed command corresponding to the flow rate command by a limiter operation when the difference signal between the pressure command and the pressure detection signal is higher than a predetermined level, whereas it preferentially outputs a speed command corresponding to the difference signal when the difference signal is equal to or lower than said level. The rotational speed controller controls the magnitude of a driving current supplied to the servomotor by a closed loop on the basis of the speed command and the detected signal so that the speed of the servomotor corresponds to the speed command.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an apparatus for controlling a driving of a reciprocating compressor and a method thereof, in which a cooling capacity is decreased without a re-expansion loss by controlling a driving of a compressor used in a refrigerator by using a current offset when the cooling capacity of a refrigerator is varied. To this end, in the compressor which controls the cooling capacity by varying an inner stroke according to a stroke reference value set by a user, the apparatus comprises a storage unit for storing a current offset value corresponding to a cooling capacity variable amount; an adding unit for adding the current offset value to a current value applied to the compressor in accordance with that the cooling capacity is varied by a user; a microcomputer for generating a switching control signal corresponding to the current value added from the adding unit; and a power supply unit for controlling a driving of the compressor by applying the added current to the compressor under a dependent state on the switching control signal.
Abstract:
A power steering apparatus according to the present invention, when an electric motor M is actuated, senses an electric current flowing through the electric motor, then determines a temperature rise value with respect to an oil temperature as a time-based sum of temperature increase rates each corresponding to the amount of heat generated in a driver element (31) per unit time by the electric current, and estimates the oil temperature on the basis of the temperature rise value and the temperature of the driver element (31). Thus, the oil temperature can be estimated without the use of an oil temperature sensor. This allows for motor actuation even at an extremely low temperature.
Abstract:
In a pump operation control apparatus for a hydraulic brake boosting system, an ECU 13 is provided with a timer 16 to which an output signal from a brake switch 12 is supplied and a pump-operation-control-signal generating means 17 for transmitting a signal for operating and controlling a motor 9 in response to an output signal from the timer 16. When the brake switch 12 has been switched on, the operation of the pump is started. After predetermined time T has elapsed from a moment at which the brake switch 12 has been switched on, the operation of the pump is interrupted. If the brake switch 12 is continuously switched on after the predetermined time T has elapsed, the pump is operated for time elongated from the predetermined time T until the brake switch 12 is switched off. If the brake switch 12 is again switched on before the predetermined time T elapses, the pump is operated until the predetermined time T elapses from the moment at which the brake switch 12 has again been switched on.
Abstract:
A process for operating a dry-compression vacuum pump with at least one pump chamber and at least one rotor driven by an electric motor, and to a vacuum pump suitable for this operating process. To reduce operational shutdowns for maintenance purposes without any risk to the pump, it is proposed that application-specific phenomena leading to deviations from the normal operating status or their effects be monitored and, after a predetermined deviation quantity has been attained at which operation of the vacuum pump could be adversely affected in future, steps be taken to remove the causes thereof.
