Abstract:
Grips for striking implements, e.g., baseball bats, that adjust the position of the implement in the user's hand such that the implement can be held in a preferred position relative to the user's forearm without the user needing to radially deviate their wrist from its neutral position are disclosed.Certain embodiments are suited for placement on a standard bat by the user. Other embodiments are more suited for placement on a modified bat during manufacture.Use of the disclosed grips increases user comfort and lessens the risk to injuries associated with radial deviation of the wrist and with movement of the user's hand in relation to the striking implement, e.g., the bottom of the batter's palm striking against the knob of a bat.
Abstract:
An insulated icemaking compartment is provided in the fresh food compartment of a bottom mount refrigerator. The icemaking compartment may be integrally formed with the liner of the fresh food compartment, or alternatively, may be modular for installation anywhere in the fresh food compartment. A removable bin assembly with a front cover normally seals the icemaking compartment to maintain the temperature in the compartment. A cold air duct formed in the rear wall of the refrigerator supplies cold air from the freezer compartment to the icemaking compartment. A return air duct directs a portion of the air from the icemaking compartment back to the freezer compartment. An air vent in the icemaking compartment directs another portion of air into the fresh food compartment. A control system provides for controlling refrigerator functions in a manner that promotes energy efficiency.
Abstract:
A cooler with a raised rack. The cooler with raised rack is a cooler having a base, sidewalls and a pivotally attached lid, forming an interior volume. A raised ledge is placed on the base and around a perimeter of the interior volume, forming a reservoir. A rack rests on an upper surface of the ledge. The rack is designed to support items, such as packages of food and ice, while allowing liquid to pass through openings in the rack, toward the reservoir below. This allows for food and other items to be in contact with cubes of ice while separating them from the melted water, keeping the contents of the cooler both cold and dry.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a cooling device 1, in particular a freezer 2, having a cooling circuit 3, wherein the cooling circuit 3 has a compressor 4, at least one evaporator 5, and a condenser 44, and a closable cooling space 6 with a plurality of cooling space sidewalls 7, a cooling space base 8, at least one cooling element 9, and an insulation vessel 10. In the cooling device 1 the evaporator 5 and the cooling element 9 are disposed within the cooling space 6 such that the back of the cooling element 11 at least partially abuts on the evaporator 5 and the front of the cooling element 12 faces the insulation vessel 10, and the insulation vessel 10 is closed at least towards the at least one cooling element 9 and forms a space for cooling goods 13. The back of the cooling element 11 abutting the evaporator 5 has at least one recess 14 into which at least one removable cold accumulator 15 can be inserted. Preferably in the region of the downwardly facing end 16 of the insulation vessel 10 at least one heating element 17 and at least one storage element 18 are arranged.

Abstract:
A refrigerator decreasing the space needed to opened a door by forming a curvature at an edge of the door and decreasing risk of an accident or injury caused when a body part is caught between the door and a wall, and a method of manufacturing the same, are disclosed according to embodiments of the present invention. The durability of the door may be improved by forming a curvature of the door edge so that a curvature radius of an upper side of the door is greater than a curvature radius of a lower side of the door.

Abstract:
A refrigerator and a manufacturing method thereof including processes of separately manufacturing partitions dividing a storage space into a plurality of storage chambers from a main body including an inner casing and an outer casing, coupling the partitions to an inner surface of the inner casing, filling a space between the inner casing and the partitions with an insulator, and filling the partitions with the insulator by filling a space between the inner casing and the outer casing with the insulator. Since the insulator uniformly fills the partitions dividing the storage space into the plurality of storage chambers, the partitions may possess improved insulating qualities.
Abstract:
A refrigerator and a control method for the same are disclosed. The refrigerator includes a storage compartment formed in a cabinet of the refrigerator by a fixed insulation wall, the storage compartment being provided with an access opening, a door rotatably provided to the cabinet to open and close the access opening, a drawer provided in the storage compartment, a camera fixed to a ceiling of the storage compartment to photograph both a region (a first region) for storing of food arranged in an external space of the drawer in the storage compartment and a region (a second region) for storing of food arranged in an internal space of the drawer in the storage compartment, and a controller to separate, through a capturing time of a picture containing both the first region and the second region, a portion for the first region (a first region picture) and a portion for the second region (a second region picture) from the picture to individually divide and store the first region picture and the second region picture.
