Abstract:
A method and system for remote control and remote-controlled user interface. A remote control method of target terminal by a mobile communication terminal comprises: displaying a plurality of control methods for remote control of the target terminal; when one of the plurality of control methods is selected, displaying a control screen corresponding to the selected control method; and when a control attribute value displayed in the control screen is set, transmitting a control message comprising the set control attribute value to the target terminal, wherein the control methods include at least one of a directional touch, a tilt and a pattern input by continuous touch.
Abstract:
Embodiments utilize a camera on a universal remote control to automatically detect which device the remote is pointed at by the user. The image captured by the camera is compared to a database of images of known or preconfigured devices that can be controlled by the universal remote control. If the image captured by the camera matches an image in the database, then the universal remote control loads a specific key map for the preconfigured device from the database.
Abstract:
A controlling device such as a remote control has programming for transmitting a signal response to a plurality of control environments, each environment including a signaling device. Each signaling device in receipt of the signal request sends a signal response having a unique ID which is chosen to be characteristically attenuated by the surroundings of the environment. Because the controlling device can only be in one environment at a given time, and given the attenuation characteristics of the signal response from each signaling device, only one signal response will be received by the controlling device in each environment. Location definitions associated with the received unique ID may be used by programming in the controlling device to recall saved devices states, commands sets, macros, and even to dynamically generate commands based on the location information.
Abstract:
A method and device for synchronization between a mobile device and a display device are disclosed. A synchronization device for synchronization between a mobile device and a display device includes: a storage part configured to store first position information of each of a plurality of display devices; a receiving part configured to receive second position information of the mobile device; and a synchronizing part configured to synchronize the mobile device with a display device having the first position information corresponding to the second position information, from among the plurality of display devices. According to certain embodiments of the invention, a mobile device may be synchronized with multiple display devices using the position information of the mobile device, thus allowing the user to conveniently access various services through multiple display devices.
Abstract:
A remote control system for controlling remotely a plurality of remote controllable appliances includes a first and second mobile terminal, at least one remote control apparatus, a server, and at least one remote control apparatus. The first mobile terminal transmits a first wireless signal in response to a remote controllable appliance selection and a function to be performed to the server. The server transmits a second wireless signal carrying an identification for identifying the selected remote controllable appliance and the selected function to the second mobile terminal. The second mobile terminal transmits a third wireless signal carrying an infrared remote control code correspondingly to the remote control apparatus, thereby the remote control apparatus transmitting an infrared remote control signal carrying the infrared remote control code to the selected remote controllable appliance to execute the selected function.
Abstract:
An information terminal apparatus is provided which presents an operation menu according to a target apparatus just by photographing the target apparatus by a built-in camera, thereby intuitively executing operation appropriate for the target apparatus. The information terminal apparatus includes a target recognition unit which recognizes a target apparatus from an image taken by photographing the apparatus by the built-in camera, a menu management unit which presents operation menu information preserved in advance according to the target apparatus based on a recognition result obtained by the target recognition unit, and a processing unit which gives an operation instruction according to operation contents selected based on the operation menu information.

Abstract:
A wireless foot control apparatus allows an operator to control multiple medical devices during an endoscopic medical procedure. The apparatus comprises a control console with controls designed for foot operation to control various medical devices. The controls include one or more foot pedals and foot switches to control the devices, including a selection switch to allow selection of the device to be controlled at a particular time. The console transmits signals over a wireless medium, to cause a remote receiver unit to select the device to be controlled and to control the selected device over a wired medium, in response to operation of the foot controls. The console may include a rechargeable battery, which may be sealed within the console's housing and charged inductively when the console is placed in a charging station. The receiver unit and the charging station can be separate units or integrated within a single housing.
